First, I believe the checkpoints are to get people use to being inspected. Second to get people use to military on the streets.Simply put conditioning. Add this to mainstream news fear mongering the sheeple will welcome in the police state.

These checkpoints are against the constitution. If they cared, they'd make cars like race cars and makes us all wear helmets, or make the cars travel below 30 mph.
