The JarDogs and cats are animals Though they don’t know they are And chimpanzees and frogs and bats Animal Earth like a giant jar The humans are a part of it too They’re in this jar like all the rest But they say things like “We’re not animals” We have intelligence we’re the best The Porpoises have great purposes They chase the fish and frolic Their skin looks bluish and purplish And they go through water like a rocket! Seagulls fly around porpoises Especially when their feeding They pick up morsels and half fish They spot them ‘cause they’re bleeding Rhinoceros is a unicorn Right on his nose, a big old horn The chinese grind it up and eat it They say it truly helps their peters This planets like a giant jar The airs kept in, and water too For animals near and animals far Some kind of auto-matic zoo The dogs and cats are animals They don’t know or care The seagulls have feathers on ‘em Instead of animal hair The porpoises and their purposes Have neither feathers or hair Just that funny lookin’ skin thats purplish And a hole in their head where they get their air! The rhinoceros huffs and snorts His feet can trot but mostly shuffles If he was smaller and smarter Maybe train him to dig for truffles This jar is just like all the rest It can be dirty, or broken, or clean The humans, they sure aren’t the best Because the mess they make is mean b ------------------ You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture, just get people to stop reading them. I disagree...Humans are fantastic as is all of creation and its inhabitants. A flock of goats can't reproduce a symphony. An elephant will never be a figure skater. A cow will never paint a picasso.

You are both right. Humans can have qualities unique to themselves. Creativity, empathy, morality, decency, honesty, spirituality and best of all, love, all those uplifting characteristics. When humanity is wicked, all who have connection will suffer. For example, the atomic bomb, war, serial killers, parents who endanger or kill their children, I won't go on, you have the picture. The mode of conduct that benefits all is found in the scriptures, wether you believe in God or not you could never argue with the success one finds in following these high ideals. The benefit extends to all who come in contact with such ones. Think of the power in these few words. "Do to others as you would have them do to you" Mathew chapter 6

Hey Mech, did not mean to, uh, incense you...is that the word? Well, listen, extinction is the norm here, not the exception....time is just an illusion we impose on ourselves because our wittle bwains cannot handle the true continuum...so I have to disagree with your disagreement in one aspect....if we keep on the same path we are on now, we will just die out, and the Builder will replace us with something that works better, as is its wont, and its easily perceivable pattern...we are the answer to these near extinction events that go down regularly here, Life is tired of getting its butt kicked and almost dying every few million years or even more frequently than that!!! Its why we have a bigger piece of the awareness pie than any other animal here, we are supposed to do something with it, but our masturbatory preoccupation with fantasies of religion, money, entertainment and other sybaritic sidelines is about to disqualify us as contenders for the job...can't ya feel it? We have rather dropped the ball my friend and these inbred idiots running the world, all they care about is their petty little powers and our despotism is nearly hydraulic now...so down the line goats and elephants can do wonderful things too, and ARE, actually, even though to humans that is kind of hard to explain in terms we can understand.... in the true reality of the physics I am learning, there is no real difference between then, and now, just our perception of it...it is a distance that we do not have the faculties of perception for...so somewhere, somewhen, that ol' eleee-font, he picks up his sax, and wails out a long and endearing jazz piece, improv! Or perhaps is born with reeds in his trunk, which has evolved as erectile tissue so that when he is feeling jazzy, it just....happens....b _} PS-I LIKE YOUR POSTS!!------------------ You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture, just get people to stop reading them. Not steppin' on your expression at all. It's just that TPTB are trying to de-humanize us 24/7 and putting down humanity isn't the greatest idea at this point. Especially when we are damn close to re-making Nazi Germany all over again.I think religion and science can somewaht co-exist. Quantum science facinates me. It proves that there may be multiple universes and realities. I don't think EVERYTHING is written in stone. I DO believe that our reality is pretty stale compared to wht it is capeable of. At the same time..I don't think the earth is in trouble....humanity yes, but the earth? Nah.

Olivier Messiaen, the French composer, who studied under Stravinsky and Debussey, and influenced Zappa, Schoenberg, and Boulez, said birds were the first musicians, dancing and singing. Man, you should see my birds do that. I believe animals influenced early humans to make symphonies, dance, and paint. Terrance Mckenna believed that animals consumed psychedelic mushrooms first, and humans saw this, and tried it themselves. Thus the term "Cosmic Trigger". It switched on the creative circuit in the brains of humans. Mech, The idea of multiple universes and hyperspace is intriguing. It opens up the possibility to a rational explanation behind unexplainable events.

Am reading QED by Feynman right now, incredible and excellent for those not formally trained in physics, such as myself....also, a neat look at quantum physics, though fictionalized, is TIMELINE by Crichton, I am sure you would enjoy it....I see physics and metaphysics converging through the understanding of Quantum Electro Dynamics...LIGHT HAPPENS....matter strives/flows to become light, which is fundamentally the finest derivation of matter in the universe. Its all about matter and Light, and everything in between...we are some of the things that happen "In Between" and that is so cool I cannot describe it....light and matter constantly INTERACT too, light actually imposes order on matter...what ART....my God what ART....and here we are inhabiting it. The bush people and all their small souls are striving to steal pennies and the greatest treasure of all time is inside ourselves! HAH. We are a slow reflection of the sun, I think sometimes, does that make any sense? As for music, yes all of life is this slow reflection of Light, interacting, imitating, many of our earliest musical forms can be attributed to natural sounds, if not All of them. Hornsby speaks of "The Mandolin Rain" and that is as apt a description as I can think of right now....blessed be.------------------ You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture, just get people to stop reading them. billder, that is incredibly beautiful Speaking of cool books, have you read Cosmic Banditos: A Contrabandista's Quest for the Meaning of Life written by Allan C. Weisbecker? If not, I highly recommend it!
