I saw a report that the ice caps are shrinking rapididly. The report said that we should be experiencing an increase in sea levels. If that is true,then where is the water going? By the way, I saw that on Discovery Channel News.------------------

The world's oceans and great rivers hold such a mind-boggling amount of water that it will take many years to see an appreciable difference. This article from TIME mentions a sea level rise of "about one meter by 2100", so that's only a centimeter a year, but that is a heck of a lot of water. http://www.time.com/time/reports/environment/heroes/map/0,2967,map_oceans_script,00.ht ml
