...from Ellyns link in the first post. If you haven't read this, you might want to check it out. I just re-read it. "Who Benefits? That's always the first question to consider when a "terrorist" attack occurs. Instead of clenching one's fist, waving one's flag and shouting vindictive slogans, let's just stop for a moment of calm analysis of the basic facts. When we analyze who benefits, we immediately will know with over 99% surety, who did it!"

Very interesting article. In addition to the focus being redirected in the international community with regards to the middle east conflict(s), the event has dealt a serious blow to civil society activists around the world. As the policies of free trade and capital have met with increased resistance the last few years (Seattle, Prague, Quebec City, Genoa, etc), and the intelligence communities in the US, Canada and UK have all drawn paralells between anti-globalization activists and terrorists, it seems inevitable that those who REALLY speak for freedom, justice, democracy will face the same fate as those being fingered for the events of 9/11. Last night on the news was an investigative piece on the underground money transfer system (hawala?) used around the world, and specifically suspected of being part of the terrorist financial system. So it seems like one more arguement to rid the world of cash, and while we give everybody who passes security clearance their own implant (for security purposes of course), might as well make it a bank/credit card too. It's starting to come together.

Yes rainheart,I've noticed a very obvious lack of media attention to the possible/probable correlation between targeting the World Trade Center and the (also under-reportred) demonstrations at cities hosting the World Trade Org meetings you mentioned. Maybe it's so obvious, they are using reverse psychology, assuming (correctly), that most of us will see it without them reporting it. It's more believable, if we come up with it ourselves!! Diabolical as hell. But what the hell is going on? Is it an operation designed to kill two birds with one stone? I believe that really good military operations are often designed with several 'mission objectives' involved. The media only reporting what seems obvious on the surface whether it is based on fact or fiction, and more often used as to 'sell' the cover story(s) to all of us. I hope you're wrong about that, activists being lumped in with terrorists (that's what media had labeled the activists anyway). The violent ones were probably agents provocatuers, thrown in to discredit the true activists (like they always do, i.e.;COINTELPRO). But it does make sense. Just one example of killing 2 birds with one stone, but it seems there are multiple 'birds' (not jetliners) or should I say objectives involved in this WTC attack? Did you see the thread related to Clinton benefiting from the 9/11 attack? I hope everyone has a chance to read that article too along with the one posted here.

Check out this document with the FBI's definitions of domestic "terrorist groups". http://www.fbi.gov/congress/congress01/freeh051001.htm "The FBI views domestic terrorism as the unlawful use, or threatened use, of violence by a group or individual that is based and operating entirely within the United States or its territories without foreign direction and which is committed against persons or property with the intent of intimidating or coercing a government or its population in furtherance of political or social objectives." "The second category of domestic terrorists, left-wing groups, generally profess a revolutionary socialist doctrine and view themselves as protectors of the people against the "dehumanizing effects" of capitalism and imperialism. They aim to bring about change in the United States through revolution rather than through the established political process." "Anarchists and extremist socialist groups -- many of which, such as the Workers'World Party, Reclaim the Streets, and Carnival Against Capitalism -- have an international presence and, at times, also represent a potential threat in the United States. For example, anarchists, operating individually and in groups, caused much of the damage during the 1999 World Trade Organization ministerial meeting in Seattle." "Special interest terrorism differs from traditional right-wing and left-wing terrorism in that extremist special interest groups seek to resolve specific issues, rather than effect more widespread political change. Special interest extremists continue to conduct acts of politically motivated violence to force segments of society, including, the general public, to change attitudes about issues considered important to their causes. These groups occupy the extreme fringes of animal rights, pro-life, environmental, anti-nuclear, and other political and social movements."

There is a place that makes American Flags, really good ones in Palm Bay, Florida. Maybe a search on google will pull them up. I forget their name..begins with an A. They even make special order huge ones, like you see at some car dealerships.Noticed my lapel pin flag...made in China. Bummer.
