Green light for 9/11 film

A film on the September 11 attacks that criticises US President George W Bush has won short-term backing from Miramax Film Corp, an industry source said today.

Miramax, a unit of Walt Disney Co, stepped in after actor Mel Gibson's Icon Productions withdrew backing for the production by Oscar-winning documentarian Michael Moore, the source said.

Miramax will provide a few million (US) dollars in temporary "bridge" funding, which offers the studio less risk and a lower return than longer-term financing.

The film, titled Fahrenheit 911, will look at the United States in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 and alleged links between the families of Bush and Osama bin Laden, the Muslim militant accused of coordinating the hijackings on that date.

The title also refers to Fahrenheit 451, a dystopian tale of book burning by Ray Bradbury.

After seven months of non-stop declarations by U.S. government spokesmen that there exists solid proof tying 19 Muslim men to plotting the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, FBI Director Robert Mueller has now admitted quite the opposite.

That 19 Muslim men who have apparently disappeared have been named as the hijackers is not in doubt.

What is in doubt is whether those 19 men were actually plotting anything, either individually or together.

The amazing possibility remains that others carried out the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, using the identities of the 19 Muslims who have been assigned guilt in the tragedy.

In an April 19 speech delivered to the Common wealth Club in San Francisco, Mueller said that the purported hijackers, in his words, “left no paper trial.” The FBI director stated flatly:

In our investigation, we have NOT uncovered a SINGLE PIECE OF PAPER—either here in the United States or in the treasure trove of information that has turned up in Afghanistan and elsewhere—that mentioned ANY ASPECT OF THE "Sept. 11 plot".

In describing Mueller’s evidence fiasco, Los Angeles Times reporters Erich Lichtblau and Josh Meyer, whose article was reprinted in The Washington Post on April 30, note that:

Law enforcement officials say that while they have been able to reconstruct the movements of the hijackers before the attacks—all legal except for a few speeding tickets—they have found no evidence of their actual plotting.

The Times reporters acknowledge that Mueller’s comments “offer the FBI’s most comprehensive and detailed assessment to date of its investigation, remarkable as much for what investigators have not found as for what they have.”

The FBI director explained away the absence of evidence by making the disingenuous assertion that the hijackers used “meticulous planning, extraordinary secrecy and extensive knowledge of how America works” to conceal their scheme.

Mueller made this claim despite the fact that in the immediate wake of the Sept. 11 attacks, a variety of U.S. officials and media sources speciously announced, almost instantaneously, that there was firm evidence not only that these 19 Muslim men were agents of Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda “network” but that they were indeed the individuals who hijacked the doomed flights on Sept. 11.

Mueller seems to forget that EARLY GOVERNMENT AND MEDIA REPORTS loudly HYPED “discoveries”—letters and other documents—in the luggage and personal belongings of the presumed hijackers which “proved” that they were on a “mission for Allah,” etc etc.

Now Mueller’s comments seem to CONTRADICT everything that’s been said.

I'll offer a simple answer: The people who have been staying in our country like these men, use FAKE IDENTITIES.

The possibility that the photos used (and possibly names) are actually other people, is.. well, a possibility. This isn't mean it wasn't 19 muslum Al queda hijackers, it means, they may have used other identities.

That is, of course, if what you postes isn't a bunch of BS.

I know there was a case of officials putting out a warning to "spot" a group of men they suspected to be in the country illegally, and a man came forward (living in an arab country) stating that it was not him, and his identify had been stolen.

This is very common in that area- People who go and try to get fake papers and IDs, in turn, have their picture often used, unknowingly, for other's papers and IDs.

Needless to say, we believe that lies are lies and that if writers who work for the press were free to report the truth, they wouldn't need to lie to make their stories interesting. In fact, The Spotlight found that the truth is really stranger than fiction, and more interesting at that. In fact, many of The Spotlight's stories brought disbelief to readers because they were so far-out. Merely because a story is bizarre does not mean that it is untrue. Readers of AFP can expect fantastic news stories but true stories, not deliberate lies, "nothing news," and features they find in the prostitute press.

Another thing. Looking at reality through rose colored glasses is certain disaster. Reality cannot be avoided. That train coming down the track is telling you to get off the track. Call it fog or mirage if you will, when it hits you, you die.

They are unbalanced. If the road to hell is paved with good intentions, you will find them guarding the escape, ready to waste any resisters.

Examples of this sort of news suppression are numerous. For example, the syndrome always happens when Bilderberg meet ings are held in the United States. All those who used to read The Spotlight (but no others) are familiar with this very secretive group of plutocrats, bankers, politicians, journalists, industrialists who meet every year to scheme how to mulct money from the taxpayers in order to underwrite their international scams. The entire news media conspires to keep these meetings secret. And there are many other examples when genuine news of significance to all Americans printed in local papers has been covered up nationally.

Thomas Jefferson was content to leave the destiny of America to the people-so long as they were informed of important events by the press. But the press has been taken over by an evil cabal. As we said at the start, this is the basic reason for America's downfall.

What's wrong with them? Everything! It has nothing to do with an "Independant" or "Free" Press, because they and sites like them are NOT, their articles and information is soley driven by their anti-america/corporation agenda.

The media (our media, our actual FREE Media) is not being controlled, that is, not directly- our media, because it is free to publish the stories it wants to, but is easily manipulated by *anyone* who tries. As they are driven by those ratings, they want to be the first to publish a story so often publish (unknowingly) incorrect information. This has nothing to do with disinformation, or agenda. And ratings (meaning listenership and money) are major driving factor in both. Chem Captain is right about that. Talk radio is conservative (generally speaking) because liberals simply can't get listeners in that medium. Talk to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Michael Medved, Laura Ingram, Don Imus, George Noory, Mike Gallagher, Michael Savage.. etc etc...and ask them if they are controlled or scripted and they will laugh you out of the room. Most of all….Rush is the 800 pound gorilla. Nobody tells Rush what to say, as long as it is not profane....You are a living joke, who ignores reality, Mech....

(Rush has called Bush on many things, by the way....but you'd know that, if you were interested in the facts).

Corporate sponsors are going to support conservative radio because that's where the listenership is. More listeners = more money for corporate sponsors. Snapple is an example corporate sponsor that is where it is today because of the Rush Limbaugh show. They started small….like most businesses but they were smart and advertised with a show that has many listeners seeking truth, and a trusted host who gives them what they seek. If listeners were seeking lies, they would be listening to Al Franken or recordings of old Bill Clinton monologues or something like that, and Snapple wouldn't be where it is...It's really that simple.
