To all,I began posting yesterday, and I found the messages that followed thought provoking and full of personal stories. However, today I would like to start a new post that may lead to more of what I found so fascinating yesterday. Let me lay the groundwork.
To the senior members: Since I am new, I don't know what has been discussed and rejected. I certainly don't have the time to read every post, so if I am going of base or somewhere that this forum has gone before, please just let me know.
I was pursuing my AA degree at a local community college, and I took a human geography course. The instructor was so interesting and put so much effort into the class that the following semester I took her political geography class. She did not hesitate to speak to us about the world's supply of water (and lack of) and how we are just about finished "farming" certain parts of the ocean. Furthermore, this class was just after the first el nino year. Anyway, to get to the point....
There are certain facts that are given. There are finite resources on this earth, and as a superpower, we are the true consumers. We have done so much damage to the earth that significant changes are in effect. Our government is no longer "one of the people" but one of big business and foreign interest. As individuals, or medium-sized families, we have no control over the programs we watch, music we hear, or the chemicals in our foods that we taste. One could venture to say that the words that we mutter throughout the day are of little control to us also. Brief example, prior to mass media in the 40's, a teens vocabulary was considerably higher. We are tracked everyday through our digital lifestyles -- not just the internet, but banking, department store purchases, et cetera... For God's sake, the Time magazine you read in Florida is not the same one I read in Minnesota!
We have seen what happens if a group of people stock up on food, shelter and ammunition. Furthermore, there are few methods of escape from our lifestyles. However, our country - the great democracy of the world - is basically the only one, being of land size, population, and freedom, that can stand up and do a damn thing about this.
My question I pose to you all is this: What would you do if all the fears are true?
Let's say that in the 40's something did happen in Roswell. Let's say that secret societies do exist and have powers out of our control. Kennedy was killed for a specific reason and a cover was laid. Reagan was just a "front man" that the people responded to. There is a whole lot more to the space exploration and findings of Hubble. Wars are started through the actions of not foes, but friends. Old money institutions do control every aspect of our lives. Most, including me, live their lives day to day, paycheck to paycheck, so we can live our lives according to the freedom and enjoyment lists presented to us by The Powers That Be. The list goes on and on.
I found it relieving to disclose a little information yesterday about Northern MN's climate and conditions. I find it liberating to ask questions and read about chemtrails, climate, and general conditions of others not limited to the "grind" of the daily activities.
So, what, in the end, would you do if you found out that the earth's general population, had only 10 years left? What would you do if it was guarenteed that our livestyles could only maintain another 8 years? Like television programming has told us - resistence is futile!
What can we do? What should we do? I think that we can agree that time is precious and it is getting to be in short supply. Resistence in not futile, and life, thanks to current technologies, can be continued. However, what can we do when 95% of the population just don't have the time to get away for 15 minutes a day, nor the interest to entertain the "far out, radical, foolish, and socially-suicidal" ideas we present here.
What can we do?
