With the sudden appearance of cameras on every intersection here in our rural East Texas location, many Texans are convinced thes cameras are not for what it is claimed they are for and are removing thier front license plates.Around 30% of our cars are illegally displaying no front plate, or are replacing the texas front plate with Confederate stars and bars.Out of 258 Texas licensed cars counted between LInden and Texarkana on Highway 59, 73 had no front plates..This is about average.dispite the fact that displaying no front plate is a violation of the law, local law officers never ask why its not on there!They know why, thats why they took thiers off first!>Supposedly, these cameras are to catch violaters who run the lights, recording their license number for ticketing by mail..Another cover story offered up was that the cameras operated the traffic lights, allowing trafic to flow more smoothly.Both stories were disproven.....I religiously run red lights, havent been ticketed yet, as do many others.Some intentionally tested this story, running lights intentionally trying to get a ticket thru the mail>AS for the story that they are for traffic control, it doesnt hold water.Late at night, when no traffic was present,I had to wait for the full cycle of the lights in order to proceed on green.The lights opperate exactly as they did before the cameras...LIVE FREE OR DIE ---F THE CORPORATE PIGS
