Anyone new to CC may be sucked in by your friend's (CD/Deb/nodebunker/Daneice,etc.) never-ending quest to confuse, coerce, deny anyone who suspects or knows the reality of chemtrails. Lately, she's taken to use the, 'hiding behind moniker' ploy, which by the way, makes up the vast majority of visitors and members here who use monikers/handles, like (3T3L1, Canex, Seeker, etc).

I thought her tactics had softened, no doubt due to Thermits warnings?, but 'deb's' still the same old 'CON-trail debunker' as always.

As long as 'deb' is here, newcomers should be warned. They may see it in time, but I sympathize with hitech... I don't like to see her get by with some of the same old song and dance of months, years(!)gone by. Some of the other 'CON-trail artist/debunkers' here are no doubt happy to see her back.

I guess we have to call'em when we see'em from now on?

We had really great holidays starting with a dinner party on the 15th. I also was swamped with preparations, shopping etc., but the occasion was very meaningful for all. I had surgery on the 18th, which to my surprise went real well, which I was not expecting. Because I knew it was coming, we really made no plans for Christmas itself, but ended up at my son's future in-laws on Eve and then a super dinner here on Day. We had really gone overboard decking out the halls and outside lights done in red, white and blue. The weather had remained warm until the 23rd but has turned and remained cold since. I took everything down on New Year's Eve and Dave started taking down the lights on 0101. Still more to do, but I am going to leave the live tree, a gorgeous pine out on the deck in it's stand until it dies. I am still enjoying it. Lucky you with the baby for her first Christmas. I'm beginning to get the granny jones.

As for the FE study, to be honest since taking the month off, so to speak, I am having a hard time getting back into it. I've been wondering if you have been watching FE and what, if anything you may have discovered. I have also committed to work with TXXXXX and CXXXXXX, but I just can't get motivated.

Well, it's getting late and I need to get to bed. Sorry if you are disappointed about doing any research together right now. So, by not answering my questions (as to whether or not you've seen trails like those in the photo on the homepage)... we can assume that you've never seen anything like that?

BTW, we've had people here before pretending to be some kind of expert. Why should we think that the use of canex (Mr. Minnis?), is any different? Even assuming this person does work for NASA, as I've said, to me, that's even a greater reason to disregard his opinion.

We all know NASA's stance on UFO's.

The fact that someone like yourself, with your track record of deception, is using this Mr. Minnis makes me even more skeptical!

As far as my not being a chemmie, that's news to me. A Mr. Jay Reynolds has called my Science Forum an asylum. He has also taken the time to drag my name through the mud in letters to 40 separate aviation watch activists, accusing me of being a hoaxer and of feeding off their credibility.

Jay Reynolds may consider your forum an asylum, but I certainly do not. Proof of that is that

• You are the only one besides Thermit who has done any serious work in determining the truth about contrails, and you are the only one who has come up with a conclusion (there is probable cause for fuel dumps -- especially JP-8 -- to reach the ground). Your conclusion is backed up by what I consider a sound hypothesis, logical thought, and excellent evidence.

• Most of the people who visit your website and post in it are sensible folk who follow the rules and avoid invective.
  

That makes it pretty un-asylum-ish to me!

How many monikers have you used CD/Deb, 7? 8?... when most of us are happy with one. The use of multiple handles/monikers as you've used is more comparable to a criminal like a forger, IDentity thief, who uses AKA's to mislead and misdirect the victims and authorities trying to stop them. Deb aka nodebunker has used this 'hiding behind monikers' ploy more times than I can remember as an attempt to intimidate threaten, coerce anyone who uses a moniker/handle that she disagrees with. Gee, I really thought she had cleaned up her act? Just another in the bag of tricks, like her/his/it's/their incendiary remarks used to divide activists through gender, religious and political issues. The entitity known as Deb, whatever that is, has often used these tricks in the past as her method of operation. She seems to be somewhat more limited here at CC as of late?

BTW, hitech... does that mean we can use your standard reply for 'Deb' responses, like, is it part of the popular domain? I guess we can come up with our own. It sure would save time having to respond to her patented attacks/statements over and over and over again.

Also, BTW... a word of caution, the use of common first/last names does not necessarily mean that's their true name. In other words, it's not any more an indication of sincerity, honesty or anything else... it's just a name, two names that may or may not identify the person/persons making statements on forums like this.

Likewise, some of these people who like to nurse the idea they are government operatives... this is not necessarily an indication that they really are. It's just as likely that they are lonely, disturbed and possibly obsessive individuals who get a sense of gratification and importance from being the center of attention, by trying to identify themselves with an org. like CIA to inflate a fantasy image of themselves in which they actually have some control over themselves and others.

Since both of you are posting here, maybe this is a good time to see if you (deb) and you (Duncan) would agree to stop using this 'hiding behind a moniker' game/trick/ploy that you both have used here at CC? In 'debs' case, and maybe Duncans?, it seems that, because her name may have been revealed, she wants everyone to identify themselves.

If you 'debunkers' would refrain from these and other strategies(?), aimed at chemtrail activists, the members here might not feel the need for what you call 'invective'.

Monikers I have used - Deb, originally at Carnicom. October, 1999. Chickiedeb (dropped Deb) at Carnicom, given to me by DrummerBoy. Nodebbunker here when I joined after getting banned at Carnicom's for telling the truth about Flight Explorer. Daniece was used once at Carnicom's to prove that anybody can register there under as many names as they want, (because they do.) In the early days of Carnicom there were several Debs. Me, Deborah, Ohio Deb and another one. Wisequakker and I used to keep a database of monikers and ISP numbers back in the old days, because there were so many posters, and many using several identities.

In May, 2000 I received an actual death threat at a message board we called "Stacey's" (and I was still a chemmie) which was reported to the FBI and our local police. I also have received numerous hacks and lost 3 or 4 hard drives.

I still receive various porn and recently someone put my name into a dating service. Not long ago, my husband who has the same first initial, received a death threat intended for me at his Yahoo e-mail account. These high school and unoriginal pranks happened after Mr. Lawson published my real name. Up until then, only the people who knew me via e-mail knew my last name.

Now, I don't know what is reguired to be a licensed private investigator, but if you put your thinking cap on, it's not too hard to verify my existence and where I exist. If I were going to disguise myself, I would have used my maiden name, which I like much better. I get tired of having to spell my married name for everyone, if you know what I mean. Thermit knows my name and may still have my phone number and address.

I don't, and I doubt that Duncan does, use any strategies or ploys as you suggest. Maybe your nature is suspicious because you are a private investigator, I don't know. I have nothing to hide and started a thread under FREEFORM, "Disclaimer" if you want to ask me any questions, but one at a time please and non-accusatory. It really pisses me off when people make false accusations against me or lie outright.

If what you're saying is true, and it does sound like the truth, I sympathize. No one here deserves a death threat. I've heard of that happening to activists, but not contrail believers. I suppose it happens both ways. That could explain your feelings about 'chemtrail activists' and what I perceive as very hostile intentions towards them/us. You have cleaned up your act from the earlier days, though I'm not sure what all you're saying at your website? I haven't taken the time to look. I'm tired of being the 'chemtrail cop' anyway. It seems someone has to keep track, but it doesn't have to be me. Moderators either don't see it or aren't responding.

It's occurred to me that you and DK were on a payroll as some of us have considered. Your persistence in debunking seems to me beyond reason. But, everyone is different. If you've been threatened, that could explain it? Personally, I don't think that either of you are being paid for this. I think DK is just living in a WWII frame of mind, like this is 1945. He's hopeless. (in a way, it is like 1945, but maybe not in the way he thinks?).

Even I can get carried away, (not so far as to make death threats though). So.... for my part, apologies to any 'debunkers' or activists(?) that are applicable.

Some of the smaller animals in the woods, such as frogs and salamanders, will soon journey to natural and temporary pools of water called vernal ponds to breed as they do every spring.

But once they get there they may be surprised.

"Our vernal ponds look like it's the middle of summer now," said Kai Underwood, director of education at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.

The shrunken ponds, say biologists and environmental officials, signal difficult times for amphibians.

Vernal ponds are a spring phenomenon; indeed, their name derives from the Latin word for spring. Formed when rainwater and snowmelt drains into them, the small ponds are usually full, if not overflowing, by March. Their water routinely evaporates by the end of summer.

But this year, due to the drought affecting the region, area vernal ponds are not close to being full.

Nine inches of precipitation has fallen since October, compared to an average of 22 inches. Wildlife biologists and environmental officials say that unless an extraordinary amount of precipitation falls this month -- to bring the vernal ponds to normal and recharge the depleted underground water table to meet the demands of leafing vegetation -- the animals that depend on vernal pools to reproduce may decline in number.

"This kind of irregular weather has a profound effect on amphibian ecology," said Michael Klemens, director of the Metropolitan Conservation Alliance, a program of the Bronx, N.Y.-based Wildlife Conservation Society, and author of "Amphibians and Reptiles of Connecticut and Adjacent Regions."

Klemens was not alone in saying the drought may reduce populations of amphibians common to the region, such as spotted salamanders and spring peepers, whose high-pitched mating call is a harbinger of warmer weather.

Vernal ponds exist in wooded areas throughout lower Fairfield County, in such places as the Treetops property and the adjacent Mianus River Park, on the Greenwich-Stamford border, and the Babcock Preserve in the backcountry.

On the 118-acre property of the Stamford Museum & Nature Center, the level of water in vernal pools is currently 2 feet below normal, said Underwood. Denise Savageau, director of the Greenwich Conservation Commission, said Greenwich ponds are low as well.

Amphibians lay eggs in vernal ponds because the water bodies, being temporary, do not contain fish that would otherwise eat their larvae and tadpoles. (Insects, such as dragonflies and mosquitoes, breed on the surface of vernal pools as well.) Normally, newborn frogs and salamanders mature to the point of shedding their gills, growing legs and breathing on their own before the vernal ponds dry out.

But with breeding season beginning while the ponds are at such a low level, biologists said many tadpoles this spring may not grow out of their water-dependent stage before the water supporting them disappears.

"The major concern is that during the larval stage there will not be enough water," Savageau said.

This situation will most likely cause the local amphibian population to drop, but it is not dire enough to eliminate the animals from the region, Underwood said.

"I do think we are in trouble," he said. "On the positive side, there may be fewer mosquitoes. On the negative side, the population of amphibians that depend on vernal ponds is at risk -- not extinction, certainly, but the total number will be reduced if this continues."

The drought threatening vernal ponds is analogous to salt being thrown on a wound, biologists and environmental officials said. Amphibians, which have been around for about 350 million years, have been declining, and so have vernal ponds.

An article published two years ago in the science journal Nature reported that while population trends varied among habitats, amphibians have been diminishing for decades, possibly due to climate change, acid rain and disease.

And across the country vernal ponds are disappearing, experts have said, mainly due to development. In California, according to an article published by the National Wildlife Federation, just 7 percent of the state's original vernal pools remain; the rest have been lost by conversion of the land to housing and office developments and cropland.

Fewer vernal pools exist in Greenwich today than three decades ago, said Michael Aurelia, who has been the director of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency for 28 years.

Aurelia said the vernal ponds were unprotected before their significance as a specialized wildlife habitat was known. He said they are now protected by regulations but in some cases may still be lost to development because site inspections in the fall, when the ponds are dry, can overlook their existence.

He added that even when the ponds are preserved, development of land around them has destroyed the amphibians' habitat.

"Without a place to live for 10, 11 months of the year, the spotted salamanders and wood frogs disappear," Aurelia said. "They can't survive in people's backyards. They need undisturbed woodland."

Klemens, of the Metropolitan Conser-vation Alliance, said global warming is the most threatening factor as it has caused the erratic weather patterns that are "creating major ecological challenges" for these animals.

"This kind of fluctuation is destabilizing to all forms of wildlife," Klemens said. "We have this problem now, and we can attribute it to global warming."
