Much of this is very true. I think what one would need to understand is that just because the bible says something does not mean that it is an unconditional fact of nature and/or reality. I do agree completely that the legislation of man is deceptive, and only serves to supress and conrol us. However, replacing man's legislation with your interpretation of biblical scriptures is not a viable resolution. You're taking what is written by one man, and replacing it with a 'religious' theory, one which is of an unkown and unverifiable origin.
Physical nature and reality, time and space, life and death, pleasure and pain ... these things are something that we all experience, undoubtedly. Accordingly, all these things govern our spirit and our being. Nature doesn't mandate religious worship. Perhaps your bible may, but again that is nothing more then print on paper. We all have our own spiritual beliefs and energies. Some of us (most) are consumed by dark and negative energies. Others have truly found understanding and joy through their own exploration of spirituality. For this reason alone, it becomes an issue that cannot be legislated period. Not by the laws of man, nor by the laws of 'your bible'.
Even considering that the bible is an effective guide as to what should or should not be done, even the bible acknowledges that humans here on earth have been given the ability to think and believe independently, and that the laws of GOD will not infringe upon this independence. GOD has made this our choice. He/She has chosen not to govern or 'legislate' this aspect of 'reality'.
The fact is that darkness HAS and WILL prevail in this physical world. Our tribulation is to endure it, and to remain as pure and as righteous as we possibly can. For those who can maintain positivity while not ignoring the negativity of their surroundings, an eternity of positivity awaits. Those who relentlessly indulge in the evil temptations of this world will find themselves surrounded in negative and degenerative energy. If anything, I think that what the bible says is that GOD wants us to transcend on our own. That is his 'annuit coeptis'.
Understand me for when I refer to GOD I am in no way referring to any persons or beings that had anything to do with the authoring of christian scriptures. I am referring to GOD as something or someone who can be identified with by people of any 'spirituality', in the form of 'collectiveness' , 'higher power', 'buddah', 'jesus', 'god', 'allah', or any other term commonly used to describe an entity or force which is thought to be prevailant, and/or the creator.
Again, I found a lot of the information originally posted was valid and helpful but I simply do not agree with trading in a political bias for a 'christian' one.
