That fight in between the author and the CIA is not what it appears to be. Here's why:The CIA WANTS you to read this book. The book sells the idea that 9-11 was an intelligence failure rather than that it was intentionally allowed to happen to create support for the war the US had already planned to justify a grab for oil.
By creating hinting that the book contains something the CIA doesn't want you to know it is hoped you will read this book and accept without question the premise of an intelligence failure, rather than a deliberate event.
Remember that the official story of Pearl Harbor was that it was an intelligence failure. Years later, when documents were finally declassified, the memo from ONI Lt. Commander Arthur H. McCollum to FDR surfaced, proving that FDR not only knew the attack was coming, but manipulated the Japanese into it.
Make sense? Even though the government has their blundering idiots working for them, there are some very clever people out there that do this sort of deceiving for a living.
