Well the first thing that people need to understand that it was DARPA that created the internet. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. Before that time it was ARPA and the internet existed as a private network known as ARPANET. At this same time a seperate network existed known as LIBNET which eventually would become MILNET. Now for example, take a look at DARPA's IAO and the current line of research they are conducting:

In IAO's Total Information Awareness System the goal is to detect, ID, classify and track potential anti-government targets through multi-agency OPs. The program is an ongoing research project designed to acquire data through advanced technological applications for surveillance.
The silver cloud or silver lining issue addresses the installation of optoelectronic equipment around the world. This equipment has the capability to transmit packetized photons wirelessly. Now remember that most internet backbones run on OC (optical carriers), which are fiber optics. This allows for efficient transfer of high amounts of data (TB) with minimal latency. Well, the bottom line is that this is now possible even without physical fiber optics. All that is needed is a particular device that interfaces the OC networks and transmits the same amount of raw data wirelessly via quantum wave algorithims (aka scalar waves or hyperdimensional waves). Now what is important to note about all this is that such technology can be modulated and/or resonated so that it is applicable on a human mind. This is virtual reality, the real deal. With this technology a human mind becomes nothing more than a CPU. It's that simple. That's the level of control that they are aiming for.

Currently they are using this technology for free broadband wireless zones in which someone could access the internet anywhere within the transmission radius, wireless mind you. It is primarily being set up strictly at universities right now, ironically the same universities who are participants in WWW2 research/development. They don't realize it, but they are all working for DARPA. This is a lot to swallow at this point and impossible to prove. Just consider it. I have no reason to make any of this up. Later.
I think it's also important to note that I was previously employed by an electronic monitoring and surveillance firm that handled a number of federal contracts for over two years. I was recently laid off as all contracts were given to a UK based company. I have been enjoying my free and easy vacation by doing research (and even a little development) of my own.
