Thoughts on so-called "conservative" talk radio and it's hypocricy.

The Oxycotin gobbler hypocrite who thinks potsmokers should get 20 years.

What Good Is Neo-Conservative Talk Radio?

By Jeff Zastrow

I often cruise the AM talk radio dial to see what the mainstream “conservatives” such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Mike Gallagher are talking about. I have to admit that I still find listening to them to be entertaining. Listening to them now is a completely different experience than it was for me ten years ago. I began listening to Rush during the Monica years and before that I never even had a passing interest in politics. I had a job that allowed me to plan my drive time to coincide with the show and listened almost every day.

Over the next couple of years I began expanding and found different shows like Michael Medved, and Jay Severon. My Appetite for talk radio kept growing and I would search the AM dial at night to see what shows I could catch on distant stations that I could only receive at night. I knew the truth was out the somewhere and I was determined to find it.

After listening to every talk show I could bring in for a couple years I noticed that all these guys had something in common. Every one of them would contradict themselves depending upon the political tide of the day. I began to listen for these contradictions and when I would hear one I would dial up the number and nail the host to the wall. I remember a time when Rush would shout down anyone that called our form of government a Democracy. Some time later I noticed he was calling it a Democracy and when I got through to his show and confronted him on the importance of telling people we live in a Republic and not a Democracy all he could do was agree. The next day he was right back at saying the D word.

Although I kept listening and sometimes became furious and shouted at the radio, I realized that these people were just entertainers looking for more market share. I kept listening to them but now that I had a new found interest in politics I began reading everything I could lay my hands on about the history of our Republic and what is being done to tear it down by our enemies within.

I should be thankful for these neo-cons because without them sparking my interest in what’s going on in the world, I would still be just another sleeping sheeple. I have to believe that many others have taken the same path as myself in the process of becoming a free thinker and much more enlightened. Unfortunately that is where my thanks to “conservative” talk radio stops.

I think they are doing much harm by getting people interested and then just feeding them more and more useless information about the war between the two socialist political parties daily quarrelling about whether to raise taxes by one percent or five while they both only pay lip service to the Law of the Land.

Think how much of a difference these mainstream talk shows could make if they were true patriots. The real news of what’s going on in our country is a whole lot more interesting than whether or not the Senate majority leader should step down because of some blown out of proportion remark he made. These people have a chance to make a real difference and they are blowing it. Maybe they are trying to blow it. There were unsubstantiated rumors going around not long ago that Rush was a member of the Council of Foreign Relations.

Hopefully talk radio listeners will search for the truth and not just settle for what Rush or Sean Hannity gives them.

I used to think Rush was an interesting person to listen to on talk show.. that was a few years back... Now when I listen to him he only makes me mad... It's obvious the guy doesn't have a clue to some of the more important stories going on in the world. Now I think he's just a mouth piece for the governement agenda... I believe they call it propaganda.

Don't forget the antidote to neocon radio!
http://www.airamericaradio.com

The O'Franken Factor -- Al Franken & Co.

Marjority Report -- Jeneane Garrafalo & Co.

I actually heard O'Reilly say that Bush will lose the election because of his poor job performance! OMG! Can you believe it? Limbaugh will end up crying in his Oxycontin along with Mathews, Scarborough, Hannity, and Coulter as they can no longer deny the truth of their twisted "heroes!" whoops sickos!

The neocons are going down in big flames!

No thanks...I'll pass on LEFTIST radio.

It's just a flavor on the SAME theme.

Democrats like Kerry are still in favor of the Patriot Act and NAFTA.

The left gets NONE of my ssupport untill they start paying attention to the issues I'm concerned about.

"Gosh"
So many topics dance gingerly around the "cult of conservatism" reality.

Another place where the discussion is avoiding mention of
"the elephant in the room"

>...tactics employed by many, including methods used to win and hold converts. Critics charge that a growing number of religious, political and commercial groups are using deceptive psychological techniques to control and exploit members. <

Glaring example viewable at: http://www.rnc.org/Newsroom/TalkingPoints/default.htm

(this will probably also be edited out when a proper venue is available)

Neo-conservatives' talk radio is just another means of thought control.

Or as Newt better states:

>http://web.utk.edu/~glenn/GopacMemo.html

Language: A Key Mechanism of Control

As you know, one of the key points in the GOPAC tapes is that "language matters."
In the video "We are a Majority,"
Language is listed as a key mechanism of control used by a majority party,
along with Agenda, Rules, Attitude and Learning.
As the tapes have been used in training sessions across the country
and mailed to candidates we have heard a plaintive plea:
"I wish I could speak like Newt."

That takes years of practice.
But, we believe that you could have a significant impact on your campaign and the way you communicate if we help a little.
That is why we have created this list of words and phrases.

This list is prepared so that you might have a directory of words to use in writing literature and mail, in preparing speeches, and in producing electronic media. The words and phrases are powerful. Read them. Memorize as many as possible. And remember that like any tool, these words will not help if they are not used.

While the list could be the size of the latest "College Edition" dictionary, we have attempted to keep it small enough to be readily useful yet large enough to be broadly functional. The list is divided into two sections: Optimistic Positive Governing words and phrases to help describe your vision for the future of your community (your message) and Contrasting words to help you clearly define the policies and record of your opponent and the Democratic party.

Please let us know if you have any other suggestions or additions. We would also like to know how you use the list. Call us at GOPAC or write with your suggestions and comments. We may include them in the next tape mailing so that others can benefit from your knowledge and experience.

Optimistic Positive Governing Words
Use the list below to help define your campaign and your vision of public service. These words can help give extra power to your message. In addition, these words help develop the positive side of the contrast you should create with your opponent, giving your community something to vote for!

For better understanding: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/national/longterm/cult/cultmain.htm

>Looming in the debate are broader questions about the nature of free will and mind control. Critics charge that high-control groups "brainwash" members. Others counter that no "mind control" can occur without physical coercion. Both sides acknowledge there is a continuum of control that starts with the relatively mild influence of education and advertising. The spectrum extends to the stronger techniques of indoctrination and propaganda in the middle and, at the far end, the more extreme measures of totalistic environments, in which individual thinking and freedom are said to be squashed. <

I still believe that there is a very small percentage of the population that all this written,radio,tv,etc.propaganda does not affect.Call it brainwashing or whatever, but a small group makes it thru the dumbed down educational system and the media B.S. and are still aware of what is going on around them. Oxy-can -I -do -your-cotyn Rush is a babbling bufon on the NWO payroll.Sean Hannity would sell out his own mother to please his handlers. Jeff Rense Show is one of the few things worth "listening to on the radio or internet. Throw your TVs in the garbage.

There is no excuse for any politician who supports the unconstitutional USAPATRIOT Act.

NAFTA is bad, but it replaced something far worse.

As Mech has helped us to find out;
the Bush Administration passed the USAPATRIOT Act, as a "pig-in-a-poke"

(time to remember who controls the Senate, House of Representatives, Supreme Court & White House, -both now and back then- Mech)

After 9/11:
Congress had to vote up or down on a bill they had not even been able to read.
There was a bioterrorism threat which closed Congressional offices that day;
The bill was still being written (and is in obscure legalese) ;
Congressmen and Senators were assured their patriotism would be publicly questioned in the aftermath of 9/11,
if they failed to support the President's "anti-terrorism" measures:
the unconstitutional USAPATRIOT Act

Re: NAFTA is bad, but it replaced something far worse.

Before NAFTA opened our borders to two way tariff free trade and loss of US jobs;
There was something considerably worse:
"Caribbean Basin Initiative",
which used tax incentives to make it profitable to shut down US businesses and move them overseas.
(That's right tax monies paid business to move overseas)
Management moving expenses and transfer/shipping of machinery was taxpayer supported in the Reagan/Bush program which was one-way import free trade into the USA,
yet left in place other nations' tariffs on US goods.

Russians call Communists their "right-wing"
Internationally;
Communists and socialists are called "leftwingers".
(state ownership and control of the means of production)

America's so-called "left" overwhelmingly support private property rights.
Internationally,
that makes America's "left" "centrists";
Thus america has politically only the center and right.

America's rightwing usually support the military industrial complex however.
State control of the means of production, is, in america, almost solely confined to the military industrial complex.
(Gov't controls what will be produced, where, by whom, and controls factory conditions, pay rates and profit margins, and also decides whom shall buy military related goods, at what price, and often also provides tax monies to finance sales.
Reaching into citizens' private lives with social/"moralistic" regulations on citizens' sex lives, medical decisions, relationships...is also usually a program of America's right.
Collectivism and regimentation in political thought, is also more typical of America's right, (taking marching orders from party leadership for example) while America's left are more fragmented, disorganized, and individualistic.

Thus: America's "rightwing" are both America's far right, and far left economically, socially and politically.

America's "Liberal left" are the only center remaining.
