Beating the drums for justice: Calls for Bush's impeachment for 9–11

January 23, 2003—The "I" word in connection with 9–11 has come out of the closet as activists and citizens call for impeachment of the Bush administration.

A delegation of about 30 people on January 15 visited the office of Palo Alto Congresswoman Anna Eshoo (D-Ca) urging her to introduce articles of impeachment against George W. Bush for his "crimes of 9–11."

"The administration is lying to the American people and trying to cover-up the truth about 9–11," said organizer Carol Brouillet, a member of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom.

With local television cameras rolling, a staffer to Rep. Eshoo said she would relay the group's concerns.

At a community meeting on 9–11 the following night, Brouillet urged attendees to launch similar visits to their members of Congress.

Referring to the sign popular at peace marches, Brouillet asserted, "Regime change begins at home."

One participant likened post 9–11 fears of questioning the administration's story and the lockstep response to Bush's patriotic fever to the Germans' response to Hitler. "The German people were trained for over 100 years to be free from personal responsibility. They could feel free as long as they were obeying their leader. I see a lot of that obedience in Americans," she said.

Another questioned whether an administration that was illegally installed could be impeached.

The march came a year after Brouillet led a delegation to the San Francisco office Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein demanding a congressional investigation of 9–11.

At that time, the group raised questions about the business relationships of the Bush and bin Laden families through the Carlyle Group, the failure of fighter jets to intercept the four hijacked planes in violation of standard procedures, and questions about U.S. oil interests in the Caspian Sea Basin.

With pressure from 9–11 families and over administration objections, a joint House-Senate Committee was set up to investigate the intelligence communities and 9–11. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney urged then Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) to limit the inquiries.

Because of the administration's failure to fully cooperate with the Joint Committee and because its scope was limited to the Intelligence communities, the 9–11 families pushed for an independent commission. Legislation established the commission late last year.

Bush Ignoring Numerous Warnings

Among the first to sound the 9–11 impeachment siren were two veteran Democratic strategists. In June 2002, Bob Fertik and David Lytel launched "The Buck Stops Here" on their Democrats.com website. Similar to Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge's color-coded system of terrorists' alerts, Fertik and Lytel have compiled a devastating indictment of Bush, Cheney, Rice, and Rumsfeld.

That call for impeaching Bush asserts Bush allowed the September 11 terrorist attacks to succeed by ignoring numerous warnings, failing to take precautions against hijackings, and then lying about it afterwards. As of January 16, Democrats.com's electronic petition to impeach Bush had 4,774 "signatures."

Asked whether the site, home to progressive Democrats, had garnered any congressional support for impeachment, Fertik said, "Look at what happened to Cynthia McKinney. Nobody wants to be next," he said. Challenging the administration on 9–11 "is a guaranteed ticket to political hell."

Last spring, McKinney, a Democratic congresswoman from Georgia, called for an investigation of the events surrounding 9–11. McKinney said, "The American people deserve answers about what went wrong on September 11 and why."

She accused the administration of warmongering in Afghanistan and connected the role of oil and defense interests to U.S. policies. Although her statement seems prophetic now, McKinney was ridiculed at the time. Political strategists of her own party on national television derided her. Her reelection bid went up in smoke when she was defeated in the primary election.

Fertik called the "real juice" for investigating 9–11 the "People's Investigation and the 9–11 families who are pushing to have a commission. They are unhappy with the rigged commission. They want the truth."

Despite the administration's resistance to an independent commission to look into 9–11, Bush finally agreed. However, he appointed Henry Kissinger to head the commission. Kissinger, who has served in four Republican administrations, has a controversial reputation and oil interests in the Caspian Sea Basin.

Kissinger resigned and Bush appointed Thomas Kean, who also has oil interests conflicts and financial ties to bin Laden's brother-in-law.

Disappointed with the administration's response, a loose association of citizens, researchers, and activists is assembling a 9–11 Truth Alliance to establish its own investigation of the many unanswered questions surrounding 9–11. The alliance is organizing a 9–11 Citizens Truth Commission and planning a conference in New York City in the spring.

Fertik said there were a myriad of warnings about 9–11 "but whether Bush was personally privy has not been established."

That kind of information could be put on the table after hearings begin. Fertik pointed out that the Watergate hearings revealed Richard Nixon was tape recording his Oval office conversations and those tapes provided the proof of the cover-up of the illegal break-in at the Democratic National Headquarters and hush-funds payoffs.

The 9–11 Independent Commission, which has an 18-month legislative life, is unlikely to release its findings before the 2004 presidential election. "Yeah, that is part of their game plan," Fertik said. "They control the clock." He said Karl Rove, Bush's chief political strategist, "is brilliant at this. If they want something, it has to happen immediately, like the bombing of Iraq. Otherwise they will run out the clock."

"'Finality.' Remember that?" Fertik asked ruefully referring to the Republican tactics during the 2000 election recount. The Republicans argued the future of democracy depended on knowing who the next president would be, rather than on counting the votes.

"They will run this out, too," Fertik said.

Then, pausing, he offered: "Bob Graham is serious about running for president. He's furious at the White House and Bush and the intelligence community for jerking them (the Joint Intelligence Committee) around, and they kept secrets from the committee."

Fertik also said former committee co-chair Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala) is "equally livid. Maybe Graham will start talking about it if he runs, " mused Fertik.

Regardless of the scenario, Fertik maintained, "The American people have the right to know what went on and who to hold accountable."

The committee's 50-plus page staff report released in September listed dozens of warnings about attacks on U.S. soil including terrorists plans to use planes as weapons. (Excerpts from the committee report are below.)

CIA director George Tenet has refused to declassify a memo containing what he told Bush about terrorists' threats in an August 6, 2001, briefing. Graham has also expressed concerns about how the terrorists were able to enter and travel in the U.S.

Asked if the Bush administration's recalcitrance related to 9–11 might be a campaign issue in a 2004 Graham for President campaign, Carson Chandler in Graham's Senate office had this response: "That is something (Graham) has continually brought up regarding 9–11." However, Chandler said, until the senator decides his political future, "he is not talking about his agenda for a campaign."

Graham has said he will announce whether he is running for the Democratic nomination in 2004 in late January after Bush's state of the Union Address. News stories report Graham is busy talking with Florida supporters.

Activists have questioned what Graham and his House counterpart on the Intelligence Committee,, Rep. Porter Goss (R-Mich), were doing on the morning of 9–11 at a breakfast meeting with the Pakistan ISI chief Lt. General Mahmoud Ahmad. In October 2001, the Pakistan intelligence head was accused of wiring $100,000 to Mohammed Atta, the alleged mastermind of the 9–11 hijackers. Top officials in the Bush administration also met with Ahmad in the days before and after 9–11.

University of Illinois law professor Francis Boyle and former Attorney General Ramsey Clark have drafted articles of impeachment against Bush for his Iraqi war policies.

They wrote similar impeachment articles against George H.W. Bush for the Gulf War 12 years ago. Rep. Henry Gonzalez (D-Tx) introduced the articles of impeachment, which Boyle credits for halting Bush's march into Iraq.

More Questions About 9–11

Questioning the administration's handling of 9–11, several noted figures have recently broken the shroud of public silence about the administration's veracity and actions (or lack of) before, on, and after 9–11.

During a presentation to the Fairfax City Council in Marin County, California, which was considering a resolution to oppose the USA PATRIOT Act, Daniel Ellsberg, on January 7, raised the issue of what the administration knew.

"They were waiting for such an incident to come," Ellsberg said. He said as a Defense Department analyst in the 1970s, he would have been instructed to write such legislation under similar circumstances.

Following the council meeting, Ellsberg said, "They were warned there would be a major terrorist event. What did they do? Nothing. Bush was briefed in July and August. What did they do? I feel morally certain they drafted a Tonkin Gulf-like resolution for Afghanistan and polished up the PATRIOT Act before 9–11."

The Gulf of Tonkin Resolution gave President Lyndon Johnson powers to drastically expand the U.S. war in Vietnam.

Ellsberg said he is not convinced "yet" Bush knew "precisely" when the events would happen. Afterwards, "they wanted to avoid blame. What government officials say after such events is almost never true. They always cover up afterwards."

Helen Thomas, a former UPI reporter and now a Hearst News columnist and dean of the White House Press Corps, is a lone voice among her colleagues in addressing 9–11. Upon release of the committee's final report and a call by Shelby for CIA director George Tenet to "take the fall," she asks if Bill Clinton and George W. Bush should be "held responsible" as well.

The corporate media has capitulated to fears of losing access to its news sources or approval of even more mergers and acquisition. The public broadcasting system fears losing its federal funding. Except for a few websites, even the independent media avoid reporting on 9–11 as if it were the worst of the 10 plagues.

Last fall, former Vice President Al Gore accused the administration of ignoring signs al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden planned to attack the United States on September 11. "The warnings were there before the attacks," he said. Gore also said Bush's Justice Department and the FBI had spent more time and money investigating a suspected New Orleans brothel than monitoring bin Laden and his terrorist network.

Yet, no U.S. government official has been held accountable. Instead, Bush has promoted and rewarded military and intelligence agency heads under whose watch 9–11 occurred. Members of Congress knew of the warnings and yet handed Bush, under whose watch 9–11 occurred, powers to invade Iraq.

Excerpts From Joint Inquiry Staff Statement of Eleanor Hill, Staff Director, Joint Inquiry Staff, September 18, 2002

From the Foreward: "According to the DCI (Director of Central Intelligence, George Tenet), the President's [sic] knowledge of intelligence information relevant to this Inquiry remains classified even when the substance of that intelligence information has been declassified. . . . (on two matters)

"The Joint Inquiry staff disagrees with the DCI's position on both issues. We believe the America public has a compelling interest in the information and that public disclosure would not harm national security. However, we do not have independent authority to declassify intelligence information short of a lengthy procedure in the U.S. Congress . . ."

The statement contained at least 11 references to terrorists using planes as weapons. Here are a few of those and other findings:

* "[S]hortly after Osama bin Laden's May 1998 press conference, the Intelligence Community began to acquire intelligence information indicating that bin Laden's network intended to strike inside the United States. Many of these reports were disseminated throughout the Intelligence Community and to senior U.S. policy makers."
* "In June 1998, the Intelligence Community obtained information from several sources that Osama bin Laden was considering attacks in the U.S., including Washington, DC and New York. This information was provided to senior U.S. Government officials in July 1998." (Joint Inquiry Staff Statement, Part 1, 9–18–2002, pg. 15)
* "In August 1998, the Intelligence Community obtained information that a group of unidentified Arabs planned to fly an explosive-laden plane from a foreign country into the World Trade Center. The information was passed to the FBI and the FAA. The FAA found the plot highly unlikely given the state of that foreign country's aviation program. Moreover, they believed that a flight originating outside the United States would be detected before it reached its intended target inside the United States. The FBI's New York office took no action on the information, filing the communication in the office 's bombing repository file . . .
* "In September 1998, the Intelligence Community obtained information that Osama bin Laden's next operation could possibly involve flying an aircraft loaded with explosives into a U.S. airport and detonating it; this information was provided to senior U.S. Government officials in late 1998."
* "In the fall of 1998, the Intelligence Community received information concerning a bin Laden plot involving aircraft in the New York and Washington, DC areas."
* "In November 1998, the Intelligence Community obtained information that a bin Laden terrorist cell was attempting to recruit a group of five to seven young men from the United States to travel to the Middle East for training. This was in conjunction with planning to strike U.S. domestic targets . . ."
* "A December 1, 1998 Intelligence Community assessment of Osama bin Laden read in part: 'OBL is actively planning against U.S. targets . . . Multiple reports indicate UBL is keenly interested in striking the U.S. on its own soil . . . al-Qa'ida is recruiting operatives for attacks in the U.S. but has not yet identified potential targets.'"
* "A classified document signed by a senior U.S. Government official in December 1998 read in part: 'The intelligence community has strong indications that bin Laden intends to conduct or sponsor attacks inside the United States.'"
* "In the spring of 1999, the Intelligence Community obtained information about a planned bin Laden attack on a U.S. Government facility in Washington, D.C."
* "In the March of 2000, the Intelligence Community obtained information regarding the types of targets that operatives in bin Laden's network might strike. The Statue of Liberty was specifically mentioned, as were skyscrapers, ports, airports, and nuclear power plants."
* "A briefing prepared for senior government officials at the beginning of July 2001 contained the following language: 'Based on a review of all source reporting over the last five months, we believe that OBL will launch a significant terrorist attack against U.S. and/or Israeli interests in the coming weeks. The attack will be spectacular and designed to inflict mass casualties against U.S. facilities or interests. Attack preparations have been made. Attack will occur with little or no warning.'"
* "[I]n August 2001, a closely held intelligence report, for senior government officials, included information that bin Laden had wanted to conduct attacks in the United States since 1997. The information included discussion of the arrest of Ahmed Ressam in December 1999, and the 1998 bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. It mentioned that members of al Qaeda, including some U.S. citizens, had resided or traveled in or traveled to the United States for years, and that the group apparently maintained a support structure here. The report cited uncorroborated information obtained in 1998 that bin Laden wanted to hijack airplanes to gain the release of U.S.-held extremists. F.B.I. judgments about patterns of activity, consistent with preparation of hijackings . . ."

Democrats are for the most part amoral, and immoral power mongers who would do anything to gain power back....but the impeachment scam won't work. For one thing, their arguments for impeachment are based on complete lies and fabrication. There are no actual high crimes and misdemeanors here that were the daily hallmark of the impeached former philanderer in chief. In fact the opposite of high crimes and misdemeanors is true of the Bush administration. He is doing the constitutional task that Clinton neglected and abused. Bush is actually protecting the United States from enemies foreign and domestic, as per constitutional mandate.

By contrast, Clinton was arming the enemies of the United States such as the red Chinese, covering up crimes such as Waco, TWA 800, the deaths of Vince Foster and Ron Brown, committing troops to an unjust war in Serbia (to distract from his own impeachment proceedings) and generally creating the environment in which terrorism and 9/11 could occur, as well as the tremendous economic slide we have endured. Clinton not only deserved the impeachment he received, but removal from office which the Senate was too weak to enforce.

By contrast, GW Bush is a hero who is doing what needs to be done and cleaning up the mess Clinton left behind quite literally and figuratively. Of course Democrats want to remove him from office....because he has singly handedly destroyed the liberal movement, and removed the corrupt bastards from power. I'm convinced they would do anything to gain that power back....murder and assassination attempts included....But, dishonest, fraudulent impeachment attempts by corrupt politicians won't work. Bush was legally and constitutionally elected by the electoral college and popular vote in Florida, as provided for in the constitution (as Mech should understand given that he claims to be a constitutionalist) and now finds himself enjoying immense popularity and high approval ratings among those same people….far greater popularity and approval than he had when he won the presidency. At the same time, Democrats are seen as obstructionist clowns, who do nothing but whine and create problems rather than solve them. Their chances of even competing with Bush in the next elections are almost laughable.

You keep talking about Democrats... I NEVER voted for a Democrat..as I think the lot of them are just as corrupt and are in lockstep with the globalists wishes.

You REFUSE to look at the dirty dealings of the republican party...and ESPECIALLY Unconstitutional things like THE PATRIOT ACT and THE DOMESTIC ENHANCEMENT AND SECURITY ACT OF 2003.

Those two ALONE are grounds for impeachment.

Bush's role in 9-11 is another.

Everone knows that the US will have success in Iraq..along with a lot of dead innocent people.

I don't think this is a war of liberation, and I don't think it will end in Iraq.
This is imply another step in the globalists plan for global control. The war is already being turned on us...the passage of the Patriot Act is the declaration..as far as I am concerned. The Domestic Security and Enhancement Act is the next..even more tyrranical step.

INTRODUCTION TO SUMMARY OF EVIDENCE

Andrews Air Force Base is a huge military installation just 10 miles from the Pentagon.

On 11 September there were two entire squadrons of combat-ready fighter jets at Andrews. Their job was to protect the skies over Washington D.C. They failed to do their job. Despite over one hour's advance warning of a terrorist attack in progress, not a single Andrews fighter tried to protect the city.

The FAA, NORAD and the military have cooperative procedures by which fighter jets automatically intercept commercial aircraft under emergency conditions. These procedures were not followed.

Air Force officials and others have tried to explain away the failures:

"Air Force Lt. Col. Vic Warzinski, another Pentagon spokesman, [said]: 'The Pentagon was simply not aware that this aircraft was coming our way, and I doubt prior to Tuesday's event, anyone would have expected anything like that here.'"

Using information from the mass media and official Websites, we will show that this is a lie.

Some of what happened on 9-11, such as planes flying into buildings, is unusual. But most of what happened, such as commercial jets flying off-course, transponder failures and possible hijackings, are common emergencies. We will show that these emergencies are routinely handled with expert efficiency based on clear rules.

The crash of the first hijacked jet into the World Trade Center made it clear the United States was faced with an extraordinary situation. This should have intensified the emergency responses of the air safety and defense systems.

The whole country was aware. For example, at 9:06 AM the NY Police broadcast:

" 'This was a terrorist attack. Notify the Pentagon.'"

'American Forces Press Service' reported that ordinary people working at the Pentagon worried they could be next:

"'We were watching the World Trade Center on the television,' said a Navy officer. 'When the second plane deliberately dove into the tower, someone said, 'The World Trade Center is one of the most recognizable symbols of America. We're sitting in a close second.'"

U.S. air safety and air defense emergency systems are activated in response to problems every day. On 9-11 they failed despite, not because of, the extreme nature of the emergency. This could only happen if individuals in high positions worked in a coordinated way to make them fail.

Such operatives would almost surely have failed if they tried to disrupt and abort routine protection systems without top-level support. The failure of the emergency systems would be noticed immediately. Moreover, given the catastrophic nature of the attacks, the highest military authorities would be alerted. Acting on their own, the operatives could expect that their orders would be countermanded and that they themselves would be arrested.

The sabotage of routine protective systems, controlled by strict hierarchies, would never have been contemplated let alone attempted absent the involvement of the supreme U.S. military command. This includes at least U.S. President George Bush, U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and the then-Acting Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force General Richard B. Myers.

In the following summary of evidence we will demonstrate probable cause for charging the above-named persons with treason for complicity in the murders of thousands of people whom they had sworn to protect.

The summary of evidence covers the following areas:

* Andrews Air Force Base and the myth of 'no available planes;'

* The air safety/air defense systems and the myth that they were not prepared;

* The actions of George Bush on 9-11 that clearly violated his positive legal and constitutional obligations and demonstrated consciousness of guilt;

* The testimony of General Richard B. Myers at Senate hearings on his nomination as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In these hearings, the contents of which were reported accurately by one lone journalist, General Myers attempted to cover up what had happened 9-11 when he was Acting Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He offered three mutually contradictory cover stories and demonstrated consciousness of guilt;

* The cover story floated by CBS evening news, September 14th.
Until that time, officials reported that no planes had been 'scrambled' to intercept the hijacked planes. But following Gen. Myers disastrous Senate testimony, CBS broadcast an improved version of 9-11. In the new script, fighter jets from Otis and Langley Air Force Bases did try, but failed, to intercept the hijacked planes. This is now presented as the official NORAD story and has been repeated uncritically by media and government officials alike. We will demonstrate that this cover story is both weak and incriminating.

SECTION 1: Why did no fighter jets 'scramble' to protect Washington D.C.?

LIE #1: 'NO COMBAT READY FIGHTERS WERE STATIONED NEAR THE PENTAGON'

As noted, Andrews Air Force base is 10 miles from the Pentagon. The media has mainly avoided talking about Andrews. An exception is 'USA Today,' the second-highest circulation newspaper in America. On one day it published two contradictory stories to explain the failure to scramble jets from Andrews prior to the Pentagon crash:

FIRST 'USA TODAY' STORY:

"Andrews Air Force Base, home to Air Force One, is only 15 miles [sic!] away from the Pentagon, but it had no fighters assigned to it. Defense officials won't say whether that has changed."

"The District of Columbia National Guard maintained fighter planes at Andrews Air Force Base, only about 15 miles [sic!] from the Pentagon, but those planes were not on alert and not deployed."

Both stories are false.

Only one newspaper told the truth. That was the 'San Diego Union-Tribune':

"Air defense around Washington is provided mainly by fighter planes from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland near the District of Columbia border. The D.C. Air National Guard is also based there and equipped with F-16 fighter planes, a National Guard spokesman said.

"But the fighters took to the skies over Washington only after the devastating attack on the Pentagon..."

Andrews Air Force Base is a huge installation. It hosts two 'combat-ready' squadrons:

* the 121st Fighter Squadron (FS-121) of the 113th Fighter Wing (FW-113), equipped with F-16 fighters;

* the 321st Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA-321) of the 49th Marine Air Group, Detachment A (MAG-49 Det-A), equipped with
F/A-18 fighters.

These squadrons are served by hundreds of full-time personnel.

THE 121st FIGHTER SQUADRON, 113th FIGHTER WING

"…as part of its dual mission, the 113th provides capable and ready response forces for the District of Columbia in the event of a natural disaster or civil emergency. Members also assist local and federal law enforcement agencies in combating drug trafficking in the District of Colombia. [They] are full partners with the active Air Force"

So Andrews AFB had at least two 'combat-ready' squadrons.

Our research has been carried out mainly by volunteers. Newspapers and TV news departments have full-time research staffs. The important media have bureaus in Washington DC, just a few miles from the Andrews airbase. Why haven't newspapers and TV news programs reported the truth: that Andrews job was to protect DC?

This failure is especially striking because some media did report that fighters scrambled from Andrews, but only after the Pentagon was hit. Thus they were aware that Andrews was supposed to defend D.C.:

" Within minutes of the attack American forces around the world were put on one of their highest states of alert - Defcon 3, just two notches short of all-out war - and F-16s from Andrews Air Force Base were in the air over Washington DC."

"A thick plume of smoke was climbing out of the hollow center of the Pentagon. Everyone on the train understood what had happened moments before."

"It was after the attack on the Pentagon that the Air Force then decided to scramble F-16s out of the DC National Guard Andrews Air Force Base to fly cover, a--a protective cover over Washington, DC."

The media should have demanded to know the truth about why fighter jets assigned to protect Washington didn't scramble an hour BEFORE the Pentagon was hit.

Besides fighters, tanker planes and AWACS were also readily available. (An AWACS is a flying communication center equipped with radar which can scan at least 250 miles. This is almost the full distance from the West-Virginia/Ohio/Kentucky border, where American Air Flight 77 turned around before flying back to DC.) Both General Myers and Vice President Cheney admit that these planes did not go into the air over Washington until after the Pentagon was hit.

Here is General Myers, testifying 13th September:

"When it became clear what the threat was, we did scramble fighter aircraft, AWACS, radar aircraft and tanker aircraft to begin to establish orbits in case other aircraft showed up in the FAA system that were hijacked."

So where are we today, in America?

After being caught in a shameful series of lies attempting to justify its aggression, our government has launched an unprovoked invasion of a sovereign nation, placing its principal members in the same legal status as the German and Japanese leaders who were convicted of war crimes at Nuremberg. There is no evidence that Iraq is in possession of nuclear, chemical or biological weapons; and even if there were, containment was an excellent option, which worked against the Soviet Union for 50 years.

The budget recently submitted to Congress is a cruel joke, showing an enormous deficit fueled by further tax cuts to those who need it least. Perhaps cruelest cuts of all are targeted for veterans’ disability benefits, even as the White House appeals to our troops to jeopardize their lives, health and safety in prosecuting an imperial foreign policy.

As our forces search Iraq for weapons furnished years ago with the assistance of Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney’s former employer Halliburton has garnered a lucrative contract to rebuild what the troops destroy.

The enormous corporate propaganda apparatus that passes for free media in this country have worked so well that apparently around 50 percent of Americans believe that Iraq was involved in the 9/11 attacks (which it wasn’t); with many even having trouble believing that Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden are not the same person (which they aren’t).

Any good news? So far the Bush regime has not declared martial law and formally suspended the Constitution. And articles of impeachment have been drawn up, and are under consideration by a (for now) small group in Congress. If impeachment becomes a reality before martial law is declared, that would be the best news of all.

5) Making, ordering and condoning false statements and propaganda about the conduct of foreign
governments and individuals and acts by U.S. government personnel; manipulating the media
and foreign governments with false information; concealing information vital to public
discussion and informed judgment concerning acts, intentions and possession, or efforts to obtain
weapons of mass destruction in order to falsely create a climate of fear and destroy opposition to
U.S. wars of aggression and first strike attacks.

6) Violations and subversions of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, both a
part of the "Supreme Law of the land" under Article VI, paragraph 2, of the Constitution, in an
attempt to commit with impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes in wars and
threats of aggression against Afghanistan, Iraq and others and usurping powers of the United
Nations and the peoples of its nations by bribery, coercion and other corrupt acts and by rejecting
treaties, committing treaty violations, and frustrating compliance with treaties in order to destroy
any means by which international law and institutions can prevent, affect, or adjudicate the
exercise of U.S. military and economic power against the international community.

7) Acting to strip United States citizens of their constitutional and human rights, ordering
indefinite detention of citizens, without access to counsel, without charge, and without
opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention, based solely on the
discretionary designation by the Executive of a citizen as an "enemy combatant."

8) Ordering indefinite detention of non-citizens in the United States and elsewhere, and without
charge, at the discretionary designation of the Attorney General or the Secretary of Defense.

9) Ordering and authorizing the Attorney General to override judicial orders of release of
detainees under INS jurisdiction, even where the judicial officer after full hearing determines a
detainee is wrongfully held by the government.

10) Authorizing secret military tribunals and summary execution of persons who are not citizens
who are designated solely at the discretion of the Executive who acts as indicting official,
prosecutor and as the only avenue of appellate relief.

11) Refusing to provide public disclosure of the identities and locations of persons who have
been arrested, detained and imprisoned by the U.S. government in the United States, including in
response to Congressional inquiry.

12) Use of secret arrests of persons within the United States and elsewhere and denial of the right

government, even in the absence of a court order and even where an incarcerated person has not

FORGET IRAQ
IMPEACH BUSH AND DECLARE WAR ON MEXICO

On March 9, 1916, Francisco “Pancho” Villa crossed the border and invaded the United States, sacking and looting the town of Columbus, New Mexico. This is not the last time the United States would be invaded by an army of Mexicans.

Millions of Mexicans have crossed the border in recent years and not one of them has come with honorable intentions. Since they intended to, then in fact did cross our southern border illegally, they are criminals, the lot. But many are more than just criminals; they are agents of a foreign government, here to destroy our great nation state.

They come with fake ID cards, issued by the Mexican government, for use in the United States to obtain employment, driver’s licenses and bank accounts. Why not simply get a passport and have it stamped at the border upon entering and leaving the way it is done by legal travelers with honorable intentions?

They come with knapsack type “care” packages supplied again by the Mexican government, to assist them in their crime of crossing our border and violating our laws. Why doesn’t the Mexican government do something about the intolerable massive corruption that causes Mexicans to flee as if from a burning building?

Meanwhile, President Bush refers to Mexico and Mexicans as our “friends” and our “neighbors.” I have friends and neighbors and none of them have ever broken into my back door and demanded a seat at the table. Mr. Bush, by aiding and abetting this criminal behavior has made himself an accessory before during and after the fact. It is time to say it. Mr. Bush’s open borders policy is not born of negligence or stupidity. It is an act of criminal intent and treason. For that reason, I wish to go on the record here and now, as one who is calling for the impeachment of George Bush for treason, high crimes and misdemeanors.

Mr. Bush and his circle of neo-cons and chicken hawks want us in a war with Iraq. As far as I am able to know, Iraq has never threatened one thimble full of American soil anywhere or at any time. I do not believe that Iraq poses a clear and present threat to America’s interests, nor do I believe Iraq has impugned America’s honor in a manner requiring a military response.

It is the height of arrogance for the United States to demand that a sovereign nation, ANY nation, disarm. Just as a private citizen has a right to self-defense and self-determination, so does a nation. And while Iraq is being strip searched for the same kind of weapons that are stockpiled like cord wood in the U.S., the drumbeat of CIA propaganda about Saddam’s atrocities (torture, eye gouging) gets louder as the war season (winter) in Iraq approaches.

And what will happen on the border while we are distracted by a war in Iraq? What kind of pro immigration, anti- nation, and world government promoting legislation will be rushed through congress while the people are looking the other way? What sort of sucker punch can we expect from the globalists masquerading as conservatives in Washington?

Pickpockets call it the “stall”. When a home run is hit and the fans leap to their feet, mesmerized by the flight of the ball, someone’s wallet is being plucked. I heard one remark that if he had 50,000 hands he could pick 50,000 pockets. Yes, sports fans, pickpockets love the long ball. And war is the grandest slam of them all.

So if we are to fight a war, why not fight a moral one, for sound reasons, against an enemy that poses a clear and present danger to our republic? Let’s bring our troops home from the Balkans and Germany and Japan and declare war on Mexico. Lets demand a “regime change” in Mexico, since such a change is clearly in our nation’s best interest.

As soon as we declare war, every illegal alien inside the U.S. becomes an enemy agent, subject to arrest and military tribunal.

And now to sum: Impeach Bush, forget this Iraq folly and declare war on Mexico. Otherwise, keep your hand on your wallet.

There have been terrible crimes and criminals in United States history - but because the Bush family has passed their misdeeds down through generations, they are unequivocally the most corrupt. Rarely has there been a whole family of underhanded criminals where nefariousness was the rule rather than the exception. It’s not as if they have no code of conduct, the facts prove they lie, cheat and steal as their code of conduct.

Prescott Bush was a firm believer in eugenics, (the study of genetic improvement through selecting parents, or racial superiority) which was very common among the influential families at the start of the twentieth century… of course we are all more familiar with the eugenics ‘studies’ done by the Nazis. William E. Dodd, U.S. Ambassador to Germany in 1937 said, ‘… I have had plenty of opportunity in my post in Berlin to witness how close some of our American ruling families are to the Nazi Regime.’ Which ‘ruling families’ was he referring to? Well, Old Prescott was convicted by the U.S. government under the Trading With The Enemy Act in 1942 and fined one million dollars. Brown Brothers Harriman’s affiliate Union Bank- of which Prescott was director- invested huge sums of money into Thyssen Steel, the backbone of Nazi steel production.

August Thyssen, an affluent German industrialist, lost much of his empire to the harsh Treaty of Versailles after WWI. Vowing this would never happen again, he founded three banks in three countries: August Thyssen Bank in Berlin, Bank voor Handel en Scheepuaart in Rotterdam, Holland, and Union Banking Corp. in New York City. Using money channeled through these three banks, Thyssen financed the rise of the Nazi party and their front-man Adolf Hitler, ruled Nazi steel production, profited from the mining of coal by Jewish slaves, and financed concentration camps including Auschwitz. In 1937, while director of Union Bank, Prescott hired Allen Dulles to ‘cloak’ his accounts; Allen obviously didn’t do that great of a job because in 1942 the U.S. Alien Property Custodian froze Union Bank’s accounts. ‘Coincidentally,’ Allen Dulles was appointed U.S. Intelligence Chief in post-war Germany while he was also the lawyer representing Thyssen’s bank in Holland. This ensuing cover-up may have saved Prescott from further penalty stemming from proper investigation. In 1951, Prescott reclaimed Union Bank from the U.S. Alien Property Custodian, and went on to represent Connecticut in the Senate.

Why is it that picking up a gun and firing upon U.S. troops in wartime is considered treason, but financing the production of thousands of guns, munitions, tanks, and aircraft is not considered a treasonous act? Well, since you weren’t convicted by our government, I’ll convict you with my words: you, Prescott, were guilty in your lifetime of treason against the United States and your tomb bears the blood of veterans who died fighting the Nazis.

So Prescott had a son, and named him George - he became president of the United States… but first he became a vile criminal. Let’s not even speak of the Iran-Contra scandal or his membership in the Nixon Administration during Watergate. Let’s skip the fact that he was ambassador to the U.N. in the seventies, then, during his presidency, he scandalously pledged his support for the establishment of a ‘New World Order.’ ‘Coincidentally,’ when the Taliban and Saddam Hussein were trained, funded, and empowered - Bush was director of the CIA and Vice President. These are all common crimes in comparison to the Bushes malevolent standard… let’s instead concentrate on the events of late March 1981.

James Baker, a member of Reagan’s cabinet at the time, stated, ‘Bush is functioning much like a co-president.’ This after George Sr. aspired to become president by running against Reagan in the Republican primaries. Here is evidence of a desire for power, then a taste of power. On Monday, the 30th of March 1981, George Bush Sr. was in the Hotel where John F. Kennedy Jr. spent the final night of his life. Coincidence? Maybe George wanted to spend some time alone and reflect on the post-Kennedy years when he, Kissinger, and their fellow war-hawks were finally able to pass their agendas- such as committing to war in Southeast Asia. Anyway, it was on this bizarre Monday in March that a fellow named John Hinckley Jr. shot President Reagan, lodging a bullet in his chest less than an inch from his heart. When there is an attempt to assassinate our President, isn’t the Vice President the most likely suspect?

John Hinckley Jr.’s family donated substantial amounts of money to Bush during the 1980 primaries when he ran for President… Neil Bush admitted this. Coincidence? On March 31st The Houston Post ran a story that read, ‘Scott Hinckley, the brother of John Hinckley Jr., who is charged with shooting President Reagan and three others, was to have been a dinner guest Tuesday night at the home of Neil Bush, son of Vice President George Bush, The Houston Chronicle has learned.’ As if this weren’t enough evidence, Neil and John Hinckley both were proven to have lived in Lubbock, Texas in 1978… how many sons of energy barons just happened to live in that town? (It’s appropriate to mention that Neil was implicated in the Silverado Savings and Loan scandal.) As the final touch to this surreal scenario, Bush, as leader of the cabinet, came to the decision that this was not part of a domestic conspiracy! It’s just like Janet Reno’s investigation of wrongdoings at Waco, when she was in charge of the murders committed there! Are we to believe that the Bush family was close with the bin Ladens and the Hinckleys and that both families had a rogue member whose violent acts just happened to help advance the political careers of Bushes?

The fact that there was no investigation into these incriminating facts nearly proves that the Bush family knew of Hinckley’s impending assassination attempt. George Bush Sr., you are guilty of high treason and should receive retribution for your vile lust for power.

George Bush had two other sons, named George Jr. and Jeb, and they carried on the name and traditions of the family. Let’s ignore George Jr.’s, and his brother Jeb’s known affiliation with Ken Lay of Enron. Why don’t we look further east: from Texas to Florida. George Jr. obviously learned a valuable lesson from his father: lie, cheat, and steal your way into power. Brother Jeb, as the Governor of Florida ignored the decision of the State’s Courts that ex-felons from out-of-state would retain their right to vote if they moved to Florida. (Under Florida law, and a handful of other states, an ex-felon could be stripped of his right to vote.) Jeb hired a private data-mining firm, the first time a state government has done this, to compile a list of voters to be purged from Florida’s register. Florida happens to be the only state in the Union to list race on the voter registration: because blacks tend to vote for Democrats (93% of the time nationally), between 50- 100,000 mostly black voters were illegally barred from voting in the 2000 elections. George Jr. ‘won’ the election by 537 votes. Jeb Bush, you have undermined the Republic - the worst crime possible to commit. You killed freedom and stole the American people’s faith. You are guilty of treason against the Constitution and all of our Veterans who won our nation’s Independence and maintained its sovereignty.

George Bush Jr. was declared the winner of the 2000 elections and became president of these United States. Do you think the two Georges may have known about Jeb’s rigging of these elections? Well, just in case this was some sort of surprise gift for our current ‘president,’ let’s examine other evidence of treason committed by George Jr. He did call the FBI off investigations of Osama’s family upon taking office; he did run an oil business called Arbusto with Salem bin Laden, Osama’s brother. With the virtual laundry list of obscene disregard for our Constitution, why speculate into his close ties with suspected terrorists?

George Bush Jr. proves himself guilty of treason by the very laws he’s lent his signature to. This whole administration is guilty of criminal disregard for the laws of our land by violating citizen’s rights granted under the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments of the Constitution. This administration has passed laws allowing infinite detention without charge or access to counsel for U.S. citizens. As if this weren’t enough, he has refused to disclose information to Congress regarding executive function and granted the Attorney General the power to declare U.S. citizens as ‘enemy combatants’ and strip them of their rights. In these ways he has usurped the power of the Judicial and Legislative Branches and dealt a severe blow to the Constitution’s Checks and Balances. He has destroyed the Fourth Amendment by removing the requirement for warrants, which could be easily attained if a Judge believed a person may be involved with terrorists.

For his blatant disregard of the freedoms which represent our nation, Bush and this administration should be impeached and tried for treason by our courts to be sentenced for their crimes. The penalties for those who represent our nation should be severe when they partake in actions detrimental to the citizens. The problem may be deeper than we realize: since treasonous criminals have the power to deem citizens ‘enemy combatants’ and strip them of their rights, this makes violating the Constitution the rule and adherence to the Constitution a criminal act… it has to. If criminals make the rules, those who refuse illegitimate laws will be deemed the law-breakers. Furthermore, if we don’t reaffirm our Constitution there will be no reigns on our government and they’ll be able to pass any laws they wish.

I campaigned for Pat Buchannon in 2000.

He couldn't buy air time on tv or radio.
He couldn't even get arrested.

Nader also got no coverage until he sold out to bush.

I then volunteered at Democratic HQ on election day to answer phones.

Calls came in:
"I got my registration card in my hand, but they won't let me vote."

We took affidavit ballots to that poll. We passed a FL highway Patrol roadblock:
"Safety checkpoint" that let whites through and strip searched blacks.
an hour later:
Same call, different person.
We passed the bogus safety check again to find;
they had thrown all our 'affidavit ballots' into the trash can.

there was a deliberate program to prevent blacks from voting, in florida, alabama, Mississippi, Texas, and other southern states.
police participated.
FL elections officials admitted in two court actions that they gave preference to Republicans and disenfranchized Democrats.

Finally the US extreme court prevented an honest recount and appointed Bush.

(May 19) The most important story last week was -- The Department of Homeland Security Pursues Seditious Democrats. The 50+ “Fugitive Democrats” were the Texas state legislators who were hiding out at the Holiday Inn in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Governor Rick Perry of Texas, an Arch Bushonian Cabalist, in fact, issued arrest warrants for them under the seditious utterance and publication acts, insofar as they were obstructing the will of the State (not the state of Texas, but the Nation State. Note the capital S.) And what’s behind this fracas? It’s a redistricting bill that’s being sponsored and pushed by Congressman Tom Delay. The Democrats are asking, and rightfully so, why is the US Congressman from Texas involved in an issue which should be a state issue? This should be decided by the Texas state legislature, not by a United States Congressman – and furthermore not by an Arch-Right-Wing Nut like Delay.

If the redistricting bill is passed, it will eliminate between 5 and 7 Democratic seats in the State of Texas. Delay stated in an interview that the Democratic Texas delegation has consistently stood against the Leader. Those are his words. He means George Bush Junior. He looks at it as his God-given mission to eliminate the Democratic Party from Texas and in so doing make Texas the first Sedition-Free State in the union.

Although the media is trying to put a humorous spin on it, there is a more serious (and sinister) side to the situation.
