Lu,Yes, good response. You are like the Fantastic Four character, "The Watcher". Observing, watching, integrating, then...................... Bang! Zoom! to the moon!!!!!!!!! Just to let you know my childhood background, my grandmother and I used to repair injured animals when I was 2-8 years old. To this day, my wife and I rescue animals. We have a few cockatiels who were abused, so we took them in. I don't kill bugs. I capture them and put them in the garden. Cats I don't want in my garden, I put tons of orange peels.
One of the most heart endearing sites was The Farm Sanctuary in New York. These were animals dumped off trucks, blinded, stabbed, kicked, and left for dead. The animals are so grateful to be alive. I think the Descartian view that animals don't possess souls, continues to this day. A Saddam Hussein or George Bush looks at humans like a lot of people look at animals, to be abused and exploited.

Even tho I am not a spider lover, I still use a fish net to catch any spiders I find inside (except the cute jumping spiders) and put them outside. I once found a black widow in my home, and even tho it creeped me out, I kept it in a jar over the winter, giving it tasty morsels, and released it down by Mission Creek in the spring. When my cat brings me the odd mouse (alive) I rescue it, house it, and nurse it back to health, then release it to the wild again. In my garden I also use orange peels to keep away the cats, and use water with a bit of sunlight dish soap as a natural insecticide. And you know I am a bird lover like yourself Every creature has a soul, and a purpose, and the right to a decent life. PV--I couldn't type that fast even if my life depended onit either

Mice, Let me tell you about mice! We accidently left a side door open once, and a few brown mice got in. Nect thing we had mice everywhere. Even if we were to try and kill them, the smell would intoxicate us. We opted for humane traps. Caught 70 of them, with peanut butter, and released them in the New Jersey Meadowlands and woods, away from people and animals. We kept them in a holding tank, a week at a time. No mice now, clean house, a clear conscience.

When I was backpacking in the Bigelow Range in Southern Maine..I came apon a small pack of wild dogs...they started growling at me. They were small...but still could have been dangerous. I backed up reaaaaaaally slowly, step by step and didn't make eye contact.Never forget that animals have a dark side too. It took a "clean conscience" for me not to panic and run away. Mr Bowie stays with Mech at all times when on the trail. I think my heart just about pounded right out of my chest during that!

That's true, Mech, especially with dogs, bears, wild cats, etc. Even Canada Geese need space when it's egg time. If you show fear, they pick up on it. I guess I'm talking about animals that are defenseless.

No doubt Swamp. I show no disrespect for animals. In fact...Iv'e LEARNED a lot about certain things in nature by watching them when I get the chance. Sometimes i'll just follow a game trail and see what an animal has been doing..it's habits etc. You can get carried away and spend days in the woods if you are interested. One to watch is the oppossum. Freaking amazing.Bugs are facinating to me too. Sounds funny...but they do some amazing things. I'd say the only bugs I absolutely dispise are black flies, mosquitos and deer flies. Ticks aren't exacly my favorite either.

whew...I have to put this in the "they came after the *fastwalkers* and I did nothing catagories"....so before it comes to *the are coming for me now* I offer this in defense of fastwalker.... Lulu does have extremely effective debating skills, and spends far too much time lurking, or is it that your doin' shooters in the backroom here we go... foreigners really don't have much business commenting on US political figures...foreign policy is a different story... those photos are not known to be used here in the factual context of when they were taken... I have not met one single (real) person that talks about Bush the way he is talked about here.... people (real ones) here could give a shit less about what the world thinks... it is odd that mech and gas claim to be defenders of the constitution yet care so much about world opinion...in the same breath screaming the nwo and globalists are out to get us all....BUY BEANS AND LENTILS EVERYONE !!! It's easy to see the target is bush and the right and not any other particular group... gimme a break... finally, I cannot for the life of me think why so many are against removing evil dictators...who for sport feed kids into plastic shredders to watch the expressions on their faces...as they are chewed to bits... this war will remove an evil dictator...hopefully another won't spring up and hopefully this war will act as a warning for all the other evil dictators... and that is hope for REAL peace...

But, since Fastwalker asked me what points of his I disagreed with... Bugs are cool Mech...the multi-legged varieties, not the two-legged ones

Terry, thanks for revealing what you are really all about. I'm sure you worked hard on your posts today. It is truly disturbing how deluded the people on this board are. You take the completely disgusting, false and disingenuous viewpoint of Mech and the Gas passer...two of the most disturbed people on the net. You echo their lies about America and my president….and those lies anger me. I do have hatred for liars and people like Mech and Gas who intentionally decieve, and who support the enemies of Amerca. That alone, is not something you should be proud of. Sorry I didn't see this about you before...We would never get along if we met in person. I think this little questioning of your beliefs went well, for that reason. Saves a lot of trouble. Lets me know where you truly stand on things.. No surprises though.....you were in complete agreement with Mech's and Gaspasser's views....just as I said. You'll figure out what just happened here soon I'm sure… PS...don't plan on getting that shirtless pic any time soon ....(I'm sure you've written that off anyway) Whew!...almost made a big mistake there...

quote: Violence instills fear. Peace instills love.
So maybe we should’ve had Dan Rather or Tom Brokaw just find lil’ ol Saddam and give him a big hug and a love letter, and ask him to step down politely, and all this ugly mess could have been avoided? Maybe we should have just forgiven those nasty boys who flew airplanes into our skyscrapers and killed 3000 innocent people…Maybe we should have said, “we are sorry we made you so angry, you poor terrorists, please don’t do that again“….and they would’ve stopped. Well we know what you are smoking up there in Kanuck land…..Reality to Terry. At least we found out where we are coming from Terr…. Maybe there’s not a damn thing you care about…truth included. My tolerance is just about 0 for seditious so-called, mis-named “peace protestors” who hate this country and support Saddam while our guys are over there getting shot at. You are damn right, America haters are not worth a rat’s shooter in my book. I take my country very seriously. I take this war very seriously. I take this mission to oust evil very seriously. I take life and death, and the difference between good and evil very seriously. I have a couple friends in this war, whose very real asses are on the line protecting freedom, while you sit there smoking your refer and making up lies about them and America….while you sit there and compare America to Saddam‘s regime which is perhaps the most evil and brutal regimes to ever exist. Their asses are getting shot at while you subtly blame them for the horrors in the pictures you posted, instead of the true evil that is responsible for putting women and children in harm’s way. Yes I’m pissed, but at least I know who you are and what you are really all about, and a serious mistake was avoided. I don’t want to be associated with a person for whom the truth is a casualty. I guess, with that knowledge you can probably scratch off a visit from a guy in a new RV as well…..eh

Does this mean that the foul-mouthed, foaming-at-the-mouth, CONSTITUTION HATING, fascist FartTalker will no longer grace this board with his ancient wisdom and penetrating intelligence? Please go to a bunker, and play Monopoly with Dickhead Cheney, won't you!!!!!!!
Here's ancient wise quote: "All war is based on fabrication" Sun Tzu...The Art of War Oh, one more thing, maybe Lulu, since being a female, looks at war from the nurturing standpoint, and sees the insanity of it. Let's face it FartTalker, men have screwed up REAL GOOD. Time for a change. Share the responsibility of the planet. Listen to the girls, instead of yelling at them.

Do your children listen to your foul mouth and deranged mind? Maybe you should read aloud your posts. That is XXX rated. All right Seeker, you tight-ass, blue nose member of the culture board, I'll put up a more appropriate picture, since I have a soft spot in my heart for kids. Being around you must be enough for them.
