just saw a unmarked white helicopter
it was doing low pases at 1am over a friends house.
it just gone over my house now at lunchtime
we have never seen this helicopter before.

Im probably going to be yelled at for some reason, but lets step back for a second and look at this piece by piece.just saw a unmarked white helicopter Many helicopters are white. And, all aircraft have a reg. on them, but you probably couldn't see the letters. ALL aircraft have them. Even government CIA aircraft. Plus you said it was 1 am. So I'm assuming it was faaaar too dark to make out a reg. it was doing low pases at 1am over a friends house. Rationally, it was probably orbiting the scene of an accident, or some other interesting scene. Do you honestly believe that an organization sent a helicopter just to buzz your friends house a few times at 1 am? it just gone over my house now at lunchtime. we have never seen this helicopter before. I saw a new AS-350 A-star helicopter for a few days last summer that I had never seen before. I saw it almost every day. it turns out it was a replacement chopper for a news station here in PHX. You will probably see that white helicopter again. As will many other people. Because it obviously has some sort of job to be doing, and if you happen to be in the flight path of it going about its duty, then so be it. *waiting to be flamed*

i saw it at lunchtime.
my friend herd and saw it at 1 am.
there arent many helicopters in canberra
we have the a emergacy one which is cleary marked with red strips and cross and only used in the bush where its hard to get access to.
also we have a police helicopter which is cleary marked but hardly every used since canberra has a extremely low crime rate.
and there hasent been anything on the news about a accident.
other then that there is no other helicopters in canberra.
i will probley never see it again.
it was flying very high when i saw it
passed over my house quickly.

No offense, but this goes to show how the majority of the population knows diddly squat about aviation. I did a 2 second search on Airliners.net searching for helicopter photos in Canberra Australia. You know how many different photos there are? One hundred and ten. Thats right, 110. 110 of JUST helicopters, ONLY at Canberra airport. Go to Airliners.net, and search for what I did. Look at all 110 of those helicopters.

Im probably going to be yelled at for some reasonnothing wrong with venting phx...KNOW WHAT I MEAN ! if you can put up with the cut and paste...by far this is the most fun and informational forum far by...plenty of disagreement,anger,mudslinging,flaming white hot heat,emotion,music,politics,supposed conspiracy,the "f" word once or twice a month,no porongraphy and of course very little if NO chemtrail talk... HEAVEN

well PHXPilot i can tell you airliners.net is extremely wrong and that infomation is outdated i have personally droven past canberra airport many times myself.
its tiny there isnt even any room for 110 helicopters.

Ummm. Of course there isnt room for 110 helicopters. What Im trying to show you is that Canberra is visited by hundreds of different helicopters. Just because you see a helicopter that isnt one of the 2 you mention, doesnt mean that it is abnormal. So, because you saw a white helicopter, you found this to be "abnormal" for some reason. Canberra has been visited by many hundreds of helicopters. Not all of them based there, but they still fly around nonetheless

whoopse forgot one thing...thread drift and hijacking is not just happenstance it is the objective !BTW, I seen a spider in my house running up and down the hall...my friend seen one yesterday doing the same...never seen the spider before...he hasn't either... I will never see the spider again because I squished it... Why are people so afraid of helicopters ?

Also you need permission
you cant just fly over canberra we have many noise pollution laws.
