Uhhh...People HAVE BEEN ROUNDED UP (thousands of people)and held incommunicato under "antiterrorism" laws. Just for being suspected of being a "terrorist".

Many of them in solitary confinement.

Where does it end?

With regards to the economy, Seeker is absolutely correct, the stock market is in a nice recovery. The Dow just broke out of it's resistance area of 9000 and is holding. Interesting how America hating leftists like Mech, where quick to act as if the stock market was the sole economic indicator when it was going down, and now that it’s rising, they admit that it’s not. They just ignore all data that doesn’t support their twisted viewpoint.

Any technical trader will tell you that old resistance becomes new support, and this is what we are currently seeing in the markets. 9000 on the Dow is acting as new support, and combined with a breakout of a trading range to the upside, is an extremely bullish indication. See for yourself here;

http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=djia&sid=1643

As Bush's tax cuts come into effect, we should also see a faster recovery....California's incompetent governor is now being replaced, and if we get a fiscal conservative who knows what he is doing, someone like Tom McClintock for example, we should see a fairly rapid recovery in California, and the 6th largest economy in the world (which is currently completely hijacked by corrupt, incompetent DemonRats) will stop acting like an anchor for the rest of the county.

Many people are unaware that the current federal deficit is mostly due to increased spending on the war, the military, national security and national defense which was necessary after Clinton gutted the military and intelligence agencies. This absolutely NECESSARY, CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED spending accounts for over 50% of the federal deficit. Around 23% of the deficit can be attributed to Bush's current tax cut, but that's due only to a short term drop in federal revenues. The result of a significant tax cut is ALWAYS economic growth, and once that growth comes into effect, federal revenues will increase and the tax cut will actually work to reduce the current deficit in the longer term. I think the other 20 something percent comes from new federal spending, but the vast majority of the deficit comes from absolutely necessary military spending.

We are currently in a strong economic recovery, and should be at full steam by the time elections roll around, which should benefit Bush greatly. We know Democrats/ liberals and other anti-Americans that people like Mech want to put into power are doing everything to sabotage the current recovery for this reason. They don't want Bush to look good, and they'd destroy America if they had to in order to accomplish this.

Hello!

(RNC talking point canned response expected)

Your posts constantly remind me of that newsreel image of the woman enthralled that she got to actually see Hitler.

Criticize others for cut and pastes
when
all you do is parrot the party line?

Who demands Liberals and moderates respond "in your own words"
yet posts only paraphrases of Limbaugh or Savage or Will?

What part of the truth can't you handle, Shitoga? Oh that’s right, I remember....that would be ALL of the truth.

Oh by the way, Hitler and the Nazi party was a communist/socialists human secularists dictatorship. Get your facts straight. As a liberal Democrat, you are actually very close to a socialist which is within degrees of the Nazi/fascist philosophy. As a right wing conservative, by the modern definition of the word, I'm at a polar opposite to Nazi philosophy. I'm much closer to libertarianism or anarchist in that I believe in a very limited central government. I'm a conservative in that I seek to conserve the US constitution...

But, as Joseph Farah pointed out on his radio show, both words conservative and liberal are misnomers. The communist party during the communist revolution were called conservative, but obviously the modern definition of the word conservative has come to mean a polar opposite philosophy than socialist or communist.

Your philosophy, on the other hand, is much closer to communist, although you are called a liberal. There is no question that you are coming from an extreme leftist point of view.

By yesterday's definition of liberal, I would be considered liberal.....So the point is, what you have is a confusion of terms, given that you are politically ignorant. Communists were “kissing cousins” of Nazi/Fascists. They were called conservative philosophies at the time, but as we can see, the terms conservative and liberal have come to have polar opposite meanings. My political philosophy is 180 degrees opposite, while yours is very much aligned with socialism..And Fascism and communism are just more extreme offshoots of socialism.

I hope that clears things up for you Shitoga, although you're so full of shit, I sincerely doubt it...

Mondo Washington
by James Ridgeway
Power Over the People
Intrusion Alert—It's the Government

olitical observers often have wondered why Democrats, especially liberals, didn't put up more of a fight against the Patriot Act, which passed the Senate with only one dissenting vote. Many thought it was because Dems didn't have the guts to stand up, and were afraid both to look unpatriotic and to risk defeat at the hands of the mighty Bush. But there may be another reason: The Patriot Act enhances major incursions into civil liberties that were sponsored by Bill Clinton in 1994 and 1996, including the setting up of secret courts and the launch of mass deportations.

The 1996 Antiterrorism Act gave the secretary of state the authority to decide which organizations are terrorist. Anyone supporting such an organization for humanitarian reasons is liable to criminal prosecution. And, of course, under Clinton the FBI was allowed to continue building files on people and organizations based not on the likelihood of their committing a crime, but on grounds that an FBI agent thought they should be investigated. This act, directed at international terrorism, was pushed through Congress in the aftermath of the Oklahoma City bombing, which the government had no reason to believe was caused by foreign terrorists. These measures were opposed not by rank-and-file Democrats, but by the ACLU, per usual, and conservatives who feared they might be the targets of the next investigation.

Two examples of what Clinton, and now Attorney General John Ashcroft, have brought the nation in the hunt for terrorists:

First, federal grand juries have become potential investigative arms—not just of the Justice Department—but of the CIA, formerly banned from operating within the U.S. Under the Patriot Act, testimony before a grand jury can now be sent to the intelligence agencies, which under various treaties can share it with spook agencies of foreign governments. Let's say a U.S. attorney wants to prosecute a businessman with a Middle Eastern passport because he has an informant who says the businessman was dealing with Saddam's Iraq. No one knows who the informant is. It could be a competitor, a jealous suitor, an irate neighbor, anybody. But the prosecutor, using the FBI or other investigative agencies, can then conduct surveillance, secretly tape the suspect's conversations or telephone calls, and take hearsay testimony. Since a criminal indictment is already two-thirds of the way up the river for most people, the grand jury in effect functions as a secret court. And if the information is shared with spooks around the world, in a very real sense they get to determine the verdict.

Second, anti-terrorism laws are being used to prosecute those with no interest in taking down the American republic. As part of North Carolina's own little war on terror, Watauga County DA Jerry Wilson focused on the state's antiterrorism laws to hammer people accused of producing methamphetamines. Ordinarily a meth producer might get six months, but under the new code, Wilson can send a convicted producer to jail for anywhere from 12 years to life. In the first case of this sort, Wilson is charging Martin Dwayne Miller, 24, on two counts of making a nuclear or chemical weapon in connection with the manufacture of methamphetamines. To get a connection between a nuke and meth, Wilson refers to the toxic nature of the chemicals involved in making the drug, noting that firemen and police officers responding to cases involving meth risk lung damage and other serious injury.

"I understand the title of the statute is antiterrorism, but the statute is much more broad than that," he said. "There's nothing in the statute that requires any organized terrorist effort. There's nothing in the statute that requires that these chemicals be used as a weapon."

Wilson may well not be far off the mark, for federal law classifies as a weapon of mass destruction, among other things, a hand grenade. "When you define the term so broadly, then it could be used to mean any number of things, including possessing the chemicals used to make methamphetamines," Graham Boyd, the ACLU's director of drug-policy litigation, told the Voice. "You end up shifting the power to prosecutors and sheriffs to define weapons of mass destruction according to what they think they are."

I grew up in a military community.
Went to school with kids whose dads were former SS and Luftwaffe, but then US military and civilian defense employees.

Many there had served under the German Bush.
that's why I recognize the Amerikan Hitler clearly.

As the modern day Germans say "We know a dictator when we see one."

I've seen personally autographed pictures and ironcrosses on walls.
The former Gauleiter of East Prussia and his wife were neighbors.

I campaigned for Goldwater '64, Nixon '68, Nixon '72, Ford '76, poppy Bush '72-74, Reagan '80-84,..poppy '88...

& finally woke up to the truth after Clinton said no to the NWO and the eightyear long media assault (which brainwashed FW and so many other weakminded people) took place.

Barry Goldwater (a real conservative) also changed sides in 1993.
"I didn't leave them; They left me." -Goldwater

"The religious right will continue to impose their views on others. -Goldwater

It's a matter of principles.

If you actually have principles..you're no longer welcome among Bush's pragmatic supporters.
