I find it quite funny that the same group of people screaming at the top of their lungs about everyone here who disagrees with them being Nazis, are the same group of people who continue to do all they can to censor all outside opinion on the 'chemtrail' theory.Shame on all of you..

Rumpus Room was fine until it began to be abused by... the so-called "debunkers".Posting using misleading names, including cecarnicom, when one isn't Carnicom, is very childish. Shame on them, they ruined it for themselves...

Sorry ChemCaptain, but libel, defamation and impersonation hardly qualify as 'outside opinion' (or debunking for that matter).I humbly suggested months ago that legitmate CT skeptics (if such people truly exist) set a little higher standard for themselves than the tone being set by their current (for lack of a better word) 'leadership'. Place the blame where it belongs.

As most people here can see, I mostly confine myself to the "Other Trails" category (I know chemmies everywhere are sighing in relief)...but if you look at the popularity of this category, you see that there are almost half as many posts here as on normal chemtrail topics. Ok, granted....that's probably mostly due to Mech bashing Bush via cut and pastes of leftist articles, but still....this categore is a strong indication that there is some interest in other topics outside of chemtrails, no question about it....I think that's a healthy balance on a board dedicated to a now old conspiracy subject called chemtrails. This "Other Trails" category is important because it shows the mentality and political biases that motivate those who typically believe in chemtrails, and that's a good thing to reveal, in my opinion, because it goes along way to explaining why people believe what they do. But hey, I'm willing to de-bunk chemtrails here, if somebody was willing to debate me that is. The thread where that was tried quickly died when I posted a whole slew of normal aircraft producing normal contrails which are now assumed to be chemtrails by chemmies . To me, this was a strong indication that chemmies are unwilling to face truth and reality. Speaking generally, I think if your quest REALLY is truth, then you have to accept debate in your life. You're going to have to argue your points and see how well they stand up to opposing points of view, fact and logic, and then keep and open mind and REALLY listen to the answer. If you can’t do that, then what do you really have except self delusion and the inability to face truth? I mean, if you just say...here's what I believe, and it's not even open to question. Then what's the value of that? You’re saying you have all the answers and deluding yourself with a lie, just because you are not open to alternatives. Not only is this poor way to seek truth, and just flat out dishonest…It's boring...

I personally steer clear of the subject because I don't know enough about it to make a reasonable determination. I don't trust our government at all, there's no level they wouldn't stoop too. I think people place way to much trust upon this system.
I wouldn't slam anyone's ideas just for the sake of being malicious. It's the egotists on this board that provoke the worst in me.

YAWWWWWN!!The RR was nuked because it was being abused by debunkers using multiple IDs and attacking people for their ideas and different beliefs. Certain people can't stand the fact that others don't buy what TPTB are telling them is the "truth". Apparently...as seen in the Rumpus Room..certain people would sink to any level
to defame, discredit and slander chemtrail
believers.

So why don't we open up a forum, not hidden in the back pages like the RR was, for actual discussion and debate regarding chemtrails...And don't tell me the main forum is for that  By the way, the Rumpus Room as designed as I saw it to be an anything goes forum.. Don't read it if you are so against accusations.. Hell- The Rumpus room wasn't even on the main forum page!

There's a big difference between 'enter at your own risk' and abusing the system to post kwowingly false, defamtory and actionable material. People that otherwise WOULDN'T have entered found themselves to be the targets of an incessant barrage of false accusations. It became more like 'do not enter at your own risk', and no way should investigators, reserachers and activists be forced to spend the lion's share of their time defending themselves from defamatory nonsense. As for opening another section for legitmate debate... well, that's a seperate issue. Really, the debate has shifted from 'if' to 'why' a long time ago... and that debate is really picking up steam now. If the Flat Earth Society wants to continue down the path of implausible deniablity, I'm afraid they are going to get left behind. No one seems terribly interested in rehasing the failed arguements of yesteryear. It's 2003, not 1999, and things will continue to move forward.

If people were banned for posting false, defamatory or actionable material, Mech would've been banned at post number one, and this board's reason for existence would no longer exist….(sorry if that sounds redundant)….Heck, if posts were deleted for people lying, or stating false information, 90% of the posts on this board would need to be deleted and all you would have remaining would be posts from people like Fastwalker...of course..

well if it ain't david the identity police rearing his butt-ugly head again....unless david has any proof to back up his claims...I suggest he is approaching the defamation level... and he has most definately passed the paranoid level.... there was a lot of good debate in the R-room...I really don't care to debate chemtrails personally...but for those who do and did it's a shame one dude had to ruin it for them...
