I see demonization going on. There is nothing wrong with critiquing them but let's not lump all Christains in with the bad ones or the FAKE ones like Bu$h.

There are a lot of good Christians out there doing a lot of good work for people getting the $#it end of the stick.

I do agree though...keep religion out of Federal Policy...especially when it comes to military foreign policy.

Fundamentalist christians are the most fearful, hateful people I know. Now I agree with Mech in that some christians see Jesus as the happy, partying person, and not the sterile, abortion clinic bombing, Crusades, witch burning, and communist hunting person.

Pick your myth.....Live by it......But don't assume everybody has to live by your personal myth or god.

One day in my Theory of Knowledge class, the instructor passed out a sheet with the below quotes. He instructed us that they were all from the Qur'an. The class, being predominantly Christian, went on to discuss how they knew all along how violent the Islamic faith is. However, some of the quotes are actually passages from the bible. What people fail to realize is that all major religions have very violent roots. See if you can identify the quotes from teh Qur'an and the Bible. The answer list is below it.

Further, Pride is a sin, so you may not be proud of who you are or what you have accomplished. Sloth, Lust, and Gluttony are also sins - you may not indulge or be happy, in basic. You must be humble and self sacrificing. Greed and Envy are still sins that ask that you do not strive to be the best you can be; you are not allowed to want things. And if you refuse Jesus Christ, you are sent to hell. So, why is Christianity this way? I'll tell you why....

Salvation, in Christianity, is considered to be one of the most important parts of the religion, but how do we attain it? James 2:24 says "You attain salvation through works and faith", but we get a very different story in Ephesians 2:9, "You attain salvation through faith only, so no man can boast." Either God did not have anyone edit his final piece of the Bible or the people who uphold it are fools.
