What kind of connections are there..if any between Hopi Legends of underground cities on earth and the Necronomicon and Egyptian Book of the Dead?

Aliester Crowley taught and performed Astral Projections. Ive read a bit on histories of OBE...why has anyone tried to visit these cities?

I pretty much a hop/skip away from Death Valley and interested in these entrences to underground worlds.
