"Populist views seem to hold that any and all immigration is always good for the U.S. economy, particularly the mass immigration we have experienced over the past 25 years. Defenders and supporters of mass immigration will quickly trot out the economic mantra that blossomed in the 1990's. Immigrants do "the jobs" Americans are not willing to do, and immigration is good for the economy because it provides needed tax revenue. Yet any careful observer of the American economy can quickly discern these phrases should by now really read:

Americans are not willing to do "the jobs" at the wage rates American businesses would prefer to pay, to immigrants that is,

and mass immigration is not good for the economy because immigrants use of government services is greater than their tax contributions."

Safeway and other supermarket chains in Southern California are on strike because of health care cuts that the workers have had for years. With Walmart set to open, I think, 17 stores in that area, the liklihood of Safeway and Walmart hiring Aliens at $6 an hour, rather than the average $12 an hour now seems very real.
http://www.contracostatimes.com/mld/cctimes/business/7823729.htm

I also read that Safeway CEO Steven Burd, contributed $100,000 toward Bushista's re-election, and was is called a "bundler" in rallying LOTS of money for him. The whores are all sleeping together.

The opening paragraph in this article about floored me. This just goes to show what the Mexicans think of Americans. After the American soccer team won, they heard chanting: Osama, Osama! Nice huh? Can you imagine what they’d have chanted if we played them instead of Canada?

U.S. soccer team hears Osama chants in Mexico
Associated Press
Feb. 6, 2004 12:30 PM

ZAPOPAN, Mexico - The Mexican crowd hooted "The Star-Spangled Banner." It booed U.S. goals. It chanted "Osama! Osama! Osama!" as U.S. players left the field with a 2-0 victory.

And that was in a game against Canada on Thursday before just 1,500 people.

(continued – but the rest is sports related)

This should surprise me but unfortunately it doesn't. As disgusting as it is, our country is seen as one big piñata, ready for a beating. I want to induce vomiting at this point.

Right wingers even seem to agree.......

Immigration destroying california

"......The simple fact is that Mexico has a deliberate policy of flooding California and the American Southwest with its population. By doing so, it insures those immigrants will send billions back to Mexico. This is much easier than trying to solve its own massive economic problems or addressing widespread corruption underwritten by drug cartels....."

Student group stands by 'Reconquista' plan
MEChA won't disavow document calling for recapture of Southwest

A Latino student group that drew attention during the California gubernatorial campaign of Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante says it will not disavow a founding document outlining the aim of recapturing the southwestern United States for Mexico.

Responding to allegation of racism, members of the MEChA chapter at the University of California at Los Angeles showed up in force at an undergraduate student government meeting Tuesday to protest, the campus student paper, the UCLA Bruin, reported.

The GOP student group at UCLA, the Bruin Republicans, have challenged MEChA to denounce a founding document, "El Plan de Aztlan," which they assert promotes violence and damages the organization's reputation as community servants. The text calls for the return of the U.S. Southwest to Mexico, though members said they do not follow this particular ideology.

But at the meeting, MEChA chairwoman Elizabeth Alamillo defended the document, saying it was made by founding members to protest racist activity against the Chicano community, the campus paper reported.

"We will stand by the 'El Plan de Aztlan' because it has guided us," Alamillo said.

Aztlan, the mythical birthplace of the Aztecs, is regarded in Chicano folklore as an area that includes California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas.

Alamillo said although the plan was used as a founding document, it was created generally for any group calling for Chicano rights.

Turning the tables, MEChA members accused the Bruin Republicans of racism, arguing the Latino group's focus is merely to provide students access to education.

In a presentation to the Undergraduate Students Association Council, the campus Republican group said it is concerned MEChA documents such as "El Plan de Aztlan" suppress the rights of people of European descent.

"I don't see why an upstanding student group has to be stuck with a racist ideology," said Bruin Republican member Matthew Knee, according to the Daily Bruin.

During the campaign to recall Gov. Gray Davis last year, Bustamante was criticized for his involvement with the group while a student at Fresno State University.

The head of the UCLA Democrat group, Doug Ludlow, lent support to the Republicans, saying he understands their cause and believes they might have come off unintentionally as racist.

"I doubt they harbor racist views; it's not what UCLA stands for," Ludlow told the school paper.

MEChA was backed at the meeting by members of campus groups such as the Queer Alliance and Muslim Student Association, which said the Latino group assisted them after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Several council members said the Bruin Republicans should have addressed their concerns directly to MEChA. But Moritz said they had tried contacting the Latino group several times over the past couple of months but never received a response.

Alamillo rejected his assertion.

"The only type of note we received was on the door asking us to denounce [the document]," Alamillo said, according to the Daily Bruin. "But there was nothing to encourage a meeting and no contact info."

Along with asking MEChA to denounce their founding document, the Bruin Republicans are planning to propose a resolution for the student council to de-sponsor and freeze funding for the group. They don't expect it to pass, however, because they believe a majority of council members are opposed.

The RACIST MeCHa Plan de Aztlan document

*****

El Plan de Aztlan was adopted at the first National Chicano Youth

Liberation Conference in Denver, Colorado, March 1969. The plan presented for the first time a clear statement of the growing nationalist consciousness of the Chicano people. It raised the concept of Aztlan,* a Chicano nation, and the need for Chicano control of the Chicano community. Referring to the Democratic and Republican parties as "the same animal with two heads that feed from the same trough," the plan pointed out that to achieve the goal of self-determination, would require an independent political party with Raza nationalism as its "common denominator."

El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan

In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny.

We are free and sovereign to determine those tasks which are justly called for by our house, our land, the sweat of our brows, and by our hearts. Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.

Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come and who struggles against the foreigner "gabacho" who exploits our riches and destroys our culture. With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan.

UHHH NO...THE AMERICAN SOUTHWEST WAS INHABITED BY THE NATIVE AMERICAN TRIBES...NOT AZTLAN

Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada.

Program

El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan sets the theme that the Chicanos (La Raza de Bronze) must use their nationalism as the key or common denominator for mass mobilization and organization. Once we are committed to the idea and philosophy of El Plan de Aztlan, we can only conclude that social, economic, cultural, and political independence is the only road to total liberation from oppression, exploitation, and racism. Our struggle then must be for the control of our barrios, campos, pueblos, lands, our economy, our culture, and our political life. El Plan commits all levels of Chicano society - the barrio, the campo, the ranchero, the writer, the teacher, the worker, the professional - to La Causa.

Nationalism

Nationalism as the key to organization transcends all religious, political, class, and economic factions or boundaries. Nationalism is the common denominator that all members of La Raza can agree upon.

Organizational Goals

1. UNITY in the thinking of our people concerning the barrios, the pueblo, the campo, the land, the poor, the middle class, the professional -all committed to the liberation of La Raza.

2. ECONOMY: economic control of our lives and our communities can only come about by driving the exploiter out of our communities, ourpueblos, and our lands and by controlling and developing our own talents, sweat, and resources. Cultural background and values which ignore materialism and embrace humanism will contribute to the act of cooperative buying and the distribution of resources and production to sustain an economic base for healthy growth and development Lands rightfully ours will be fought for and defended. Land and realty ownership will be acquired by the community for the people's welfare. Economic ties of responsibility must be secured by nationalism and the Chicano defense units.

3. EDUCATION: must be relative to our people, i.e., history, culture, bilingual education, contributions, etc. Community control of our schools, our teachers, our administrators, our counselors, and our programs.

4. INSTITUTIONS: shall serve our people by providing the service necessary for a full life and their welfare on the basis of restitution, not handouts or beggar's crumbs. Restitution for past economic slavery, political exploitation, ethnic and cultural psychological destruction and denial of civil and human rights. Institutions in our community which do not serve the people have no place in the community. The institutions belong to the people.

BETTER LOOK TOWARDS YOUR CORRUPT MEXICAN
NATION TO FIND THOSE SOLUTIONS...NOT THE U.S.

5. SELF-DEFENSE: of the community must rely on the combined strength of the people. The front line defense will come from the barrios, the campos, the pueblos, and the ranchitos. Their involvement as protectors of their people will be given respect and dignity. They in turn offer their responsibility and their lives for their people. Those who place themselves in the front ranks for their people do so out of love and carnalismo. Those institutions which are fattened by our brothers to provide employment and political pork barrels for the gringo will do so only as acts of liberation and for La Causa. For the very young there will no longer be acts of juvenile delinquency, but revolutionary acts.

6. CULTURAL values of our people strengthen our identity and the moral backbone of the movement. Our culture unites and educates the family of La Raza towards liberation with one heart and one mind. We must insure that our writers, poets, musicians, and artists produce literature and art that is appealing to our people and relates to our revolutionary culture. Our cultural values of life, family, and home will serve as a powerful weapon to defeat the gringo dollar value system and encourage the process of love and brotherhood.

7. POLITICAL LIBERATION can only come through indepen-dent action on our part, since the two-party system is the same animal with two heads that feed from the same trough. Where we are a majority, we will control; where we are a minority, we will represent a pressure group; nationally, we will represent one party: La Familia de La Raza!

Action

1. Awareness and distribution of El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan. Presented at every meeting, demonstration, confrontation, courthouse, institution, administration, church, school, tree, building, car, and every place of human existence.

2. September 16, on the birthdate of Mexican Independence, a national walk-out by all Chicanos of all colleges and schools to be sustained until the complete revision of the educational system: its policy makers, administration, its curriculum, and its personnel to meet the needs of our community.

3. Self-Defense against the occupying forces of the oppressors at every school, every available man, woman, and child.

4. Community nationalization and organization of all Chicanos: El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan.

5. Economic program to drive the exploiter out of our community and a welding together of our people's combined resources to control their own production through cooperative effort.

6. Creation of an independent local, regional, and national political party.

A nation autonomous and free - culturally, socially, economically, and politically- will make its own decisions on the usage of our lands, the taxation of our goods, the utilization of our bodies for war, the determination of justice (reward and punishment), and the profit of our sweat.

El Plan de Aztlan is the plan of liberation

Yes..and people like the FORD foundation and other global elites FUND THEM.

I think they do this to keep us vulcanized and fighting each other instead of fighting the real evil at the top.

Ivee heard though...that MANY of these people HATE....and I mean HATE white people. So much so that they make murals of blond hair/blue eyed people getting their throats slashed by "Reconqquistas" on walls...all over the southwest USA.

Well....There is now officially a Social Security office in Mexico City.

What the globalists plan is to start THE PAN-AMERICAN Union.

It STARTS by CREATING a "PROBLEM"

(Tons of illegals coming over the border, dollar at an all time low))

Watches the "REACTION"

(People outraged....even more illegals flood across, dollar slips even more)

OFFERS the "SOLUTION"

(Amnesty and giving illegals social security, building a SUPER HIGHWAY from Chile' to Alaska to accomadate a new FLOOD of cheeap labor into the US, Eventually ring in a PAN-AMERICAN Union with a NEW CURRENCY as the final solution.)

PROBLEM-REACTION-SOLUTION

Hegalian Dialetic...again and again.

Mech: Do you mean a U.S. Social Security Office in Mexico???

Speaking of using and abusing our system, a report was issued by the Federation for American Immigration Reform stating the following:

- One out of every four uninsured people in the United States is an immigrant

- Almost half of immigrants either have no insurance or have it provided to them at taxpayers' expense

- In some hospitals, as much as two-thirds of total operating costs are for uncompensated care for illegal aliens

- Hospitals near the U.S.-Mexican border reported losses of almost $190 million in unreimbursed costs for treating illegal aliens in 2000, with an additional $113 million in ambulance fees and follow-up services; and that the increase in uncompensated care for immigrants has forced some hospitals to reduce staff, increase rates, cut back services and close maternity wards and trauma centers.

I am absolutely DISGUSTED! I have been waiting for an update on the Bush – Fox meeting at the Bush Ranch the other day! This is NAFTA in action folks. Looks like President Fox got what he petitioned for. Talk about Open Borders! The U.S. plans on allowing at least 7 MILLION Mexicans to cross the border WITHOUT their names being checked through the Entry/Exit visa program. In other words, ANY TERRORIST, ANY CRIMINAL will now have EASY ACCESS to our country. Never mind the other ramifications for allowing this cross over!

http://www.fairus.org/media/media.cfm?id=2384&c=34

Exempting Millions of Mexicans from Entry-Exit Database Will Blind Efforts to Control Illegal Immigration, Terrorism
March 9, 2004
Washington, DC

The Bush Administration’s decision to allow millions of Mexican nationals to enter the U.S. without being crosschecked with the entry-exit visa database will allow dangerous criminals and those with terrorist connections to enter the U.S. undetected, says the Federation for American Immigration Reform. The decision, to exempt nearly 7 million Mexican nationals from participating in the US VISIT System, was announced after the Bush-Fox summit in Crawford, Texas over the weekend.

“Without checking those who wish to enter against a database of sworn enemies of this country and wanted criminals, the government really has no idea who it’s admitting over our land borders,” charged Dan Stein, FAIR’s Executive Director. “It’s a little like installing an alarm system and then only activating it on half the entrances to your house,” he said.

In 1996 and again in 2002, Congress and the Administration set up an electronic entry and exit system for every foreign traveler to allow identification of persons who should not be admitted into the country, provide warning when persons overstayed their entry permits, and develop needed information to combat the surging illegal alien problem. Since then, a series of actions have been taken that have created loopholes in the data system that effectively exempts the majority of foreigners entering and leaving the country from the record-keeping system. “President Bush’s cave-in to Mexican President Fox represent yet another homeland security weakening move that will add 6.8 million more people to the list of those who enter the U.S. without proper screening,” said Stein.

“If we don’t keep accurate records on everyone who enters the U.S., then the data we collect is useless,” commented FAIR’s executive director, Dan Stein. Stein noted that after the 9/11 attacks, the public learned that the government had no idea who was in the country, how they might be found, or what their possible affiliations might be. “Exempting most travelers to the U.S. from the tracking system renders it a wasted effort when what we need is an all out effort to regain border control,” said Stein.

The rear-guard effort to emasculate the 1996 measures to deter illegal immigration resulted in elimination of the mandate for collecting data on every foreign traveler in 2000. In the absence of that mandate, the Bush Administration has announced broad exemptions to the data collection system. Travelers from visa waiver countries, who are exempted from getting a U.S. visa, were eliminated from the fingerprint and photo system of the new US-VISIT database system that began to be implemented in 2002. In 2003, Canada was exempted also.

“We know that terrorists have tried to enter the United States using documents of visa waiver countries and Canada. There is no justification for compromising America’s security by punching loopholes in the screening system that is designed to enhance our security,” noted Stein.
