http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/s1046359.htm N Korean leader threatens US during birthday celebrations North Korea has marked the birthday of the country's leader, Kim Jong Il, with fresh threats to destroy the United States. Kim Jong Il is celebrating his 62nd birthday and the event is one of the communist country's biggest holidays. According to the official Korean Central News Agency, people in more than 50 countries are also celebrating, or in its words, "greeting the sun of the 21st century". In a speech, a senior party official declared that if the US begins a war with North Korea, the US will be mercilessly destroyed by the North Korean military. Next week, six nations including the US and North Korea will meet to discuss ways of resolving the crisis surrounding Pyongyang's nuclear weapons program.

Read Stan Goff's 'Korea, China and the US' at Ruppert's 'From the Wilderness' website (October 14, 2003).

Why doesn't this debate on WMD ever get down to sorting a few things out. Should other countries apart from the United States have nuclear weapons?Wasn't it 'nuclear deterrence' that prevented a conventional war between the United States and the Soviet Union? If nuclear deterrence prevents wars, why shouldn't Saddam Hussein and the North Koreans have nuclear weapons to prevent a war between their countries and the United States? On the other hand if nuclear deterrence is all crap, why wasn't ALL of the Soviet Union disarmed of its nuclear weapons in 1991? Yeltsin in particular would have been only too pleased to oblige if it had facilitated solution to his economic problems. Why were Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine denuclearised, but not Russia? Nobody ever asks things like this, so that one could get a coherent idea of just what the United States would like. Does it want to be the only country in the world with nuclear weapons? If it does, why does it not demand to be, as it can demand more or less whatever it wants nowadays. If it wants other countries, including Russia, to have nuclear weapons, why does it want such a thing?

Weapons of Mass Destruction?!?! What?!?! Bush! Bush! It's time to go to war! Send me to slay the infidels! My weapon is clean, my ammo is counted, my gear is... what? What's that you say? You wanna TALK?!? What the... oh... I see... No oil. Wait let me get my pen... ok, say again Mr. President. The world must think there is a threat of war to advance your plans for world domination? The last phase of the NWO must use N.Korea as a propaganda machine? Ok, ok, ok... it makes sence now. But just keep in mind I was ready to kill those crazy commies.

Walk softly and carry an Armored Tank Division. Remember comrade we were all ready to go into harms way. But for what? Does it really matter that they have the weapons? Why can't America keep its nose where it belongs. At home. Ah yes the Grand Scheme of things. We are just puppets in a show man.

Bhang and Thumper13b,First, honestly it is always appreciated by any citizen, the act of any other citizen to go into harms way for the protection of that country and the safety of it's citizens.Thank You. But as I suspect you both know, as you seem to allude too, Camp Exxon and Camp Mobile and the permanent military base there might perhaps suggest otherwise as to what real motives of our 'leaders' might have been in this invasion. All of the plans of invasion and securing of the oil fields and allowing business into Iraq to privatize/vulturize Iraqi citizens and make them dependent on the Great Whore system of Billions for The Bankers nothing for the serfs. A McDonalds on every block. American kids being used to secure oil, and bases, and influence, and sales of computers and big screen TV's and other electronics to a market opened up using our kids and their blood spilled for corporate coffers. It pisses me off. I duly respect and appreciate The troops and the best way to support them is to GET THEM THE HELL HOME along with getting them the FULL supplies they need until that time. Does EVERYONE have a bullet proof vest??? Plenty of food??? How can the troops be protected against road side bombs??? The ONLY REAL WAY!!! GET THEM HOME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SmT
