I tend to disagree that it could have been anything other than a B-757, although the wing span is similar in lenght (116' vs 124'), the fuselage is dramatically shorter than a B-757 (44' vs 178'), even at 350 knots, a 130' lenght is very noticiable. Also the Global Hawk is 12' high while the B-757 is 45', another huge difference that could be recognized even at 350 knots. If you look at the image of the Pentagon shot, above the outline of the "Global Hawk" silver can be seen which show that (IMHO) the fuselage was actually much larger than the drawn profile. Further more, all manufactueres use composite material (to lighten the weight) on areas such as wing fairings (non-stress areas). On the web link provided, the Global Hawk profile was overlayed onto the image from the Pentagon, without having the exact distance and angle (both vertically and horizontal) of both the image at the Pentagon and the Global Hawk, a direct comparasine can not be made easily made.
